So I found this today, and I was puzzled... Can this website be trusted? I mean, do you guys think this interview is even real? It just sounds crazy. Why would she be talking about a live BtVS S8??

But Buffy just won't go away and there were recently talks with network chiefs about the possibility of making an eighth series. Sarah says she would only consider a Buffy comeback if the production company she runs with her husband of five years, Freddie Prinze Jr was responsible for making the show.

"I didn't have a holiday for seven years and I was working on the series 12 hours a day six days a week," Sarah says. "I wouldn't work at that pressure again. I value quality time with my family."

This article looks like it's a collection of her quotes lifted from various other interviews. It says somewhere that she and her "husband of five years" have a production company, but I think they've been married since the 6th or 7th season of BTVS. So if she was talking about the possibility of coming back for 8, it was probably back in 2004.

Yea, nice one. I didn't pick that up. 😱

I wouldn't put any credence in it. In the first place, Sarah has done everything humanly possible to disassociate herself from the role without actually insulting the show's fans. Secondly (and a lot of people are going to raise hell with me for saying it, I know) she is intelligent enough to realize that she is now too old to play the part. Make no mistake about what I'm saying here. Sarah is an attractive woman, but she is, still, a WOMAN, well into her thirties, and simply couldn't play the "one GIRL in all the world" part anymore, nor would I think that she would want to take on a role that is as physically demanding as this anymore.
