Alright, I'll make this short but sweet, too much time has been spent talking about structuring it. Now I'm going to throw this one out.
First we need a commitee that we will call series planners. Should be Mod selected group of five. They will pretty much tie in all the suggestions made on the boards into the season arc, while still making some surprises in the middle of giving everyone what they want. But we need one mod to at least choose the members of this group. I'm going to suggest that this mod be Oz, because it seems that she at least has been paying some attention to who will be committed to to this. I'm also going to say that the poster known as Nerd4Hire should be involved in this group of series planners, seeing that he always seemed the most inerested in this.
Next we are going to need script writers, can be the same people who are series planners, but I think we are going to need probably seven people that we will rotate between episodes. They keep in close connections with the serires planners, so that the script ends up right.
Once a series planner committe has been chosen, a thread about the premisis of the season will open up, not big bads, not who will die later on in the season, but more like who will be the mainstay cast, where will the location be, what will be the aftermath of what happened in chosen. EVERYONE who wants to suggest something can. Then the series planners will take every suggestion under consideration and will vote on the best way to go.
Then after a specific premisis and cast has been chosen. We open an episode 1 discussion thread. In that thread, we discuss main plot points of the ep, the predicament our heroes get into, and all of that stuff. Once again, our series planners, decide the best routes to go with the ep. Then once it's decided, they will hand the general idea over to that eps script writer. Script writer will make a first draft. Once draft has been written, Series planners will go over it, add dialogue and just "tweak a few things as they see fit. This will continue with every episode. Of course with series planners adding in a few surprises.
In addition to episode threads, there should be afew sbu plot threads, like "What relationships should form" or "who should the big bad be" or "New character ideas" and "Who should make a guest appearance?". The series planners and script writers will sprinkle those ideas into the arcs of the season.
Now I want to stress that EVERYONE who wants to be involved will be involved. If the series planners are fair and just, every suggestion will be taken seriously. Series planners will be there just to structure it and make sure everything runs smoothly and pretty much filter ideas to where they work.
