AND I think this suggestion is answered and there is no need for this thread to stay opened.
 
I didnt mean to make it seem personal......its just with your gender as a ? i assumed you to be male....simply because of the ferocity of some of your comments......i know, thats sexist of me...but men can be bar-stewards......i know women can too......
 
I was the same. but to be fair, on the other forum im on, people thought i was a guy for ages.

Um, on the topic as a whole...

Karma doesn't do anything - you don't get anything for having a lot of it or get penalized for having none. It's just a fun thing. But it really makes no difference, so there's no real reason to put a lot of stock into what your karma is. I couldn't make a guess as to what mine is right now. And frankly, I don't care lol.

I *think* I can make it so that individually you can turn off karma viewing, if people really want that option. But I never really thought it was that big of a deal...

It's not an option to block "ignored" people from giving you karma, and it's not worth my time trying to code it. People who can't treat others with respect here are not welcome, so if you need to use an ignore list then you should be bringing the issues to the staff so that you don't need to use it.

I would just like to encourage people that when you use negative rep, to give a reason, and not just do it to get back at someone or similar.

But your karma number is going to be the same if the comments are viewable or not - and I think that if you can't have the courage of your convictions to be able to stand behind what you wrote - when others can see it - then in your heart you know you aren't doing the right thing.

I really wouldn't waste your time, Buffy. If THE BLUE has decided not to post here anymore then i don't think anyone else has any issues with the karma thing.

Like you said, it's just meant to be a little fun, no big deal.
 
Maybe she just doesnt like us. Cos obviously we're all horrible people out to get her! 😛
 
She's probabley going to make another account so that people won't hate her anymore, but she can still be on Buffy Boards...but the hating she brought on herself. She sometimes doesn't know when to stop.

In reference to Karma. Is there a limit to how many people can give you karma for the one post?

(Lets test it out, why doesn't everybody give me karma for this post, and we'll see how many people it can take!):rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I don't think there's a limit, there's only a limit as to how many times you can give to the same person without giving to anyone else.
