OK So snow has hit the UK and it got me wondering, will we have a White Christmas this year? 😀

How many of you will probably be having a White Christmas this year? :santa:
 
With seven centimeters of snow on the lawn, and - 17 Celsius outside just now, I don't think our snow will be going anywhere. So yeah, white christmas (and solstice) for me.
 
I hope I get a white christmas; I was sure there was one before in my life, but according to my Mum it's never snowed on christmas day since before I was born, where we are. So, hopefully. 😀 The snow is really deep this morning, and it keeps snowing like crazy; hopefully it'll last another week, then I'll be happy. 🙂
 
As it looks now I'll have a white christmas. The first one for years and years. And actual snow. One year there was a thin layer of frost. But I'm not taking anything for granted. With my luck it'll get much warmer and maybe even start raining the day before or even during the night before christmas so you get disappointed when you get up. But I sure hope the snow will stay. At least as long as there's no mayor problems due to it. It's hard to please some people. 😉
 
The likelyhood of a white xmas over here has just gone up a notch, but not by much. We've had a very light snow cover on the ground yesterday, but by now it's all gone again. The area of Germany where I live hardly ever gets much snow, anyway; down in Bavaria (and, oddly, at the North Sea coast) we're having lots of snow atm, but not over here at the Dutch border.

^ That's funny - I think I'm not too far from where you are but I have about two centimetres of snow in the backyard and it's snowing again right now. The weather forecast has slight snow for Christmas Eve in my area so I'm crossing my fingers.
I've never had a white Christmas except for that one year when I was about eight or nine, had already gone to bed on Christmas Eve and my mother woke me because it had started to snow at around 11 pm and she wanted to take a walk. But there was nothing left in the next morning.

it's started snowing around here again, now... but nowhere near 2 centimeters :)
I think we'll probably have snow this Christmas. There's a bit of snow on the ground now, and it's supposed to come down hard on Sunday. New York City, which I live really really close to, is getting twelve inches, so hopefully we get a lot, too.
 
Okay I'm also more or less in the same region as you guys, and we had some snow on Wednesday, but it's pretty much gone now. And I checked the weatherforecast for the next 2 weeks, and according to that, it's getting warmer again. So my bet is no white Christmas.
 
We had snow earlier this month, which is really unusual for this area. I was hoping for a white Christmas, but I don't think it's going to happen now. The weather forecasts rain next week, but it'll be too warm to turn to snow.
 
Its 50/50 for snow where I am right now. Whilst a lot of the UK is having snow and apparently not coping well with it good old Somerset is just too cold. Its gone cloudy now but I bet if we have snow it will be a very light sprinkling but nothing better like we had at the beginning of the year.
 
I really hope we get snow on Christmas. 😀 Somehow, snow makes it a little bit more magical than usual. We hardly ever get snow in this area of the country, though, so I doubt we will. 🙁

Just heard on the radio that it most likely will stay cold here and that it may even snow some more before christmas.

I reaaaaaaally hope for a white christmas, I love the snow and having snow on christmas day would be very cool 😀 If the temperature stays low and more snow falls I'll be happy 😉

Yeah, I'm going to have white Christmas this year. It's all around us, and it's still falling 🙂 I love to see the snow, but when I have to walk on it, I don't love it that much 🙂
