About That OTHER Avenger...

I was just wondering how many of you were planning to see this:

I plan on seeing the young upstart's movie eventually, and since it's scheduled to be released before the "Avengers," Joss' baby, I guess I'll have to see it first. But they've got a lot of nerve, calling some glorified, wing headed, grunt in his blue longjohns "First Avenger," if you ask me. We all know who the REAL first Avenger was.

It's at times like these that I'm glad I have 3 boys- it's a great excuse to go to the theaters to see superhero movies!! 😀

That's a really short trailer though, is there something longer out there?

Yeah, sometimes you've gotta explain things for us "young people" LOL! I don't know why I'm picking on you today, I guess I feel so oooold after that Age thread/poll (on which I was the only one replying in my 40s!).

Shucks, ma'am, you ain't picking on me, you're just the one who fell into my carefully laid trap. Truth be told, I'm probably the only one here who actually read "Avengers #1' when it was first published.

(Just for those who might be interested, but didn't know already, the original Avenger team was the Wasp, Ant Man {later Giant Man, then Goliath}, Iron Man, Thor, and the Incredible Hulk. Captain America wasn't thawed out until Issue #2, which would, I guess, actually make him "The Last First Avenger," but that just doesn't have the same zing to it. Also, it could give you a headache just trying to keep it straight)
