About the whole memory erasing thing ...

Okay, so Lilah arranged to erase the memory of Connor. Well, okay, but wouldn't that allow Darla to still be alive? I mean ... the only reason she killed herself was because she needed Connor to live. So ... if everything about him was gone wouldn't they still think Darla was alive? I'm just sorta confused and I hope this is addressed later this season. A lot of things could be completely different now that Connor is practically gone.

Thoughts are appreciated. 😀
 
Maybe everyone (other then Angel) believes she is alive, but she isn't, really. I don't think they changed events, just memories.
 
Okay, maybe, but go along with this with me. Darla's in hell now ... wouldn't she be kind of wondering how she got there? It sounds retarded, I know ... but shouldn't some things be kind of erased too ... like, say Darla's death? It's very confusing, and it's been bugging me like crazy. Thanks for your input.
 
Just the 3 of the fang Gangs memories were erased along with manipulating the people in Connors new family, thats all. They could think that the baby died a long with Darla....

Cordys memories of Connor werent erased as we find out in the 100th ep and Willows probably werent erased either

The thing is Joss just doesnt even want to talk about the whole erasing of memories thing anymore so its not part of the show anymoe(or yet)
 
Can someone fill me in on the details of Lilah's memory erase? I haven't seen any of Season Four.
 
In order to give Connor a normal life, Angel told Lilah to erase everyone's memory of him. So the Fang Gang has no knowledge of Connor and he now lives with a normal family and a normal life with no memory of them. That's basicly the skinny. 😀
 
I wasn't clear on the deal in "Home." Why is Cordy still in a coma if she wasn't with Connor and the Power That Was never came on earth (or maybe she did)?
 
This is what is confusing me. If they want to do a mind erasing storyline, they need to answer these questions. I mean, I don't think Cordy should be in coma since there's no memory of Connor. Which means their 'copulation' shouldn't have happened. Which means Jasmine shouldn't have happened. Which basicly means that this whole Wolfram and Hart thing shouldn't be happening. It's really confusing. Blegh ...

Primal Slayer, I don't think Lorne knows either. Which if this is true, then the whole Darla being alive thing is just me being a crazy person. *shrug*
 
oh yeah I forgot about Lorne, he doesnt remember either.

They didnt remake history just made them forget who Connor was and what happened with him, they probably ended up putting false memories into their heads but they didnt change history.
 
Someone is confusing the concept of memory with reality. On the other hand, I suppose you could make a real argument for it if you assert that reality is made soley of memories, and we don't so much live our lives as remember what just happened to us. That's getting way too philisophical for me though.. 🙂
 
Well, the question isn't why is Cordy still in a coma, but how is it explained to everyone else?
 
Wesley says in Lineage that a higher power (Jasmine possessing Cordy) killed Lilah and then he chopped off Lilah's head (which he did because they all thought Angelus sired her). Clearly, any events started by Connor were remembered, but they don't remember Connor himself.
 
Okay, I kind of understand now. It makes sense that only the memory of Connor was forgotton. Thanks for you guy's inputs. 😀
 
I hope Willow comes back and remembers Conner, that should be interesting.
 
I think the whole memory erase thing was just a quick way to get rid of Connor. Think about it, what need was there for Angel to even bother erasing anyone except Connor's memory?
