We will be starting this after the finale airs on Sky One in the UK.

You can use this forum now, though, to talk out ideas and collaborate with other Buffy fans.

How we are thinking it will work is that people will post submissions for the first episode, and then the board will vote on the best one. That will then be the starting point for episode 2, and we will repeat the process for each episode.

They should be in script format

(ie.

Buffy: "Hi Spike." (waves)

Spike: "Hi Buffy."

)

The actual format doesn't matter, except that it shouldn't be in the form of a written story. You are to be playing the role of the screenwriter.

Feel free to discuss in the forum, but please mark spoilers (wither in thread title or in posts) for episodes not yet shown in the UK.

This is a very cool idea and the nearest we will come to being a Buffy scriptwriter!!

Im was already getting ready to write my own seasons 8+ but to make it a collaborative effort will be more fun.

I guess we will have to see what this season has in store before we plan too much - one thing that I would definately like to do is to find a way to bring Tara back into the story. I know how I'm doing it in my season 8 so I'd like to include that in my contribution to the virtual season 8!!
 
I like the idea, but I don't think I'm going to participate, as I'm not good with single eps, only with storylines, and this idea lacks a little bit of that, doesn't it?

I mean, since you write one ep after another and then decide what to do, you can never have a long term vision in yours episodes, can you?
 
Well you can. They might not ocme to fruition, but you can have them. That's why this forum is for discussion and sharing of ideas and wokring on it collectively.

Plus nothing is set in stone on how we're doing this.
 
Well, okay, that explains some, I just hope I wasn't the only one who had this though, or the only stupid one :S
 
I think collaboratively, we come up with a basic storyline for the season, including a big bad, and then give everyone a chance to write and episode based on the storyline, and continuing with the character development from the last 7 seasons! 🙂

Then may I suggest that when Oz returns to Sunnydale Kennedy kills him off ... oh shoot, 5x5B is a mod now, so no, I may not suggest! darnit!
 
Ally, stop exaggerating already! You know that I'll just kidnap you and throw you in a sewer somewhere... And now I'm purposedly going to participate in this Virtual Season 8 just so I can save Oz's sweet little butt from Kennedy's sudden murder spree.

Script format = less writing. It's not like we're writing a novel, right? If we are, then... *runs*
 
The end of the series and a Virtual Season 8

Hello, people. I'm new here, and am interested in being part of this project. However, due to other projects, I may or may not be available to work on this project as a writer. I do have one suggestion, though. Judging from spoilers I have read concerning the final episode of the series and the way it ends, I think that, for the purposes of making the job of doing a Virtual Season of BtVS easier, this project should begin with a fan-written version of the BtVS Series Finale that would better facilitate a continuation.
 
I love this idea! I have a few ideas in mind, from other fictions I have written on other forums. Here are just a few -

1.) Tara coming back as a helpful spirit, or just in another person's body.

2.) Spike getting killed off. Sorry, but if it's in my hands, I will stake him. But just to be fair, it will be a herioc death.😉😀

3.) Kennedy getting killed off, too. I just really hate her!

4.) Dawn having more storylines! She hasn't been getting much play lately!

5.) And to sum it all up, Andrew and Clem becoming official Scoobies!

And yes, I'd love to help with this project, it sounds fun!🙂 ::wave::

My personal feeling on this, not knowing exactly what's going to happen but having heard some rumors, is that it's supposed to be as if there were somehow a next season. IMO that's lost if you reqrite the finale...no matter what happens...

It's still a month away, though.
 
*steps up onto his little box* Well first off... Oz, we go to tibet, his little control over his wolfism has failed and unfortunately for him, while chasing a car down a street, he gets shot by none other then the Charmed One Piper Halliwell 😀

But I'm more of a short fic writer but I'll give it ago, if not to keep you people in line then to shame you with my wonderful gift... I mean, oh head mod speaking... I mean to guide you along and proof read your wonderful work 😀
 
Only a month left, anyway. We can wait. But once it's all done, if my love, Spike, remains alive, then we must never kill him off! ...well, unless it's a completely justifiable kill, or it's done really well.

I would also like to see clem and andrew become scoobies.

Tara and Oz coming back would be interesting, too.

So we're talking about characters we'd like to see, things we want to happen to them. But what about the plot? Season 7 of buffy is dealing with the thing that *created* evil. How are we supposed to top that with a fan-written 8th season? Not that I'm complaining about the idea, I personally love it, but it'll be really, really hard. I'm up for it.

Unfortunately, I have no good plot ideas right now....but maybe someone else does *hopeful*
