About Virtual Season 8

I have been asked by Buffy Summers to take the lead on this project, get it started, and guide it along the way.

What we are going to be doing is assembling one group of Virtual Producers to be at the head of the project (three to five should be plenty) and one group of Virtual Writers (an as yet unknown number - anyone who can write all, part of, or individual scenes is welcome as part of the staff).

We will be opening up threads, allowing EVERYONE to contribute ideas, thoughts, scenarios, etc. whatever they would like to, whether it be towards the season in general, or specific episodes. All contributions will be woven together, so to speak, by the Production team. The individual episodes will be plotted out, and the writing staff will put them together.

The time for bickering back and forth is over with. It's time to get this started. Everyone's ideas will be considered, though not always used and not always used in the way they want it to be used - that's what Producers are for. However, everyone will have the opportunity, and the goal with this project is to create a mosaic of ideas from Buffy fans all over.

This thread is for questions and comments about the project. I will be opening up threads for ideas and such shortly.

It's about time someone took this over, your right the time for bickering is over with. Good to see this project finally has leadership to avoid that and that it is not dead. I will be willing to help out in any way possible. Those are some great structuring ideas and should make things run a whole smoother. Just one suggestion though; it might be best to get someone to clear the forum of clutter and advertisements for VS8s, so there is no confusion.

Dariodevil, good luck with the project and congrats, sounds like you have the right idea of how things should be run. I'm all excited for this project again. Let's make it work this time

You're a brave guy to take this on Dariodevil. We've talked before, and I think we're both agreed it's a big project that requires a lot of organization.

If I can help in any way, I volunteer. Just tell me how.

For now I agree with Hostile 17, let's clean off the old, and get started with the new.

JOOC, why should this forum be limited to the official BuffyBoard VS8? Just make sure that everyone who comes here knows that the official S8 project is called the VS8 so that people don't try to steal your title (another option is to create a subtitle for the season and use it when referring to the official VS8 project).

I appreciate the support, H17. I've been sick the past week, so I haven't been able to follow up as much as I'd like. Good idea, I do feel this forum should be cleared of any dead weight to avoid any confusion, but sadly, I don't have any mod powers or anything. Buffy Summers just asked me to spearhead this thing and get it moving, and I want to do all I can to make it work and make it something the fans can really get behind.

That's three votes in favor of making this forum exclusive to this website's VS8. Makes sense to me. Buffy? First Evil? You guys want to weigh in on this?

Regardless, the content of the forum isn't the issue, it's the project. It's all about Season 8, getting it up and running.

Yes, but how do you make sure that people will know which is the "official" VS8? I mean, this site features traffic from many places, and it could easily cause confusion.

Myself and several others (people in this thread and otherwise) believe there should be a streamlining to give it a renewed focus and purpose.

The "non-official" VS8's not created for this site should probably go to the Fan Fiction Forum, if you ask me, but that's not my call.

Regardless, please see the other threads if you are interested in this project. They will be up shortly.
