Acathla

Here's a link to my first ever sculpt of a Buffy subject.
It started as me playing around with a ball of clay one day and the next thing I knew, I had roughed out the head of Acathla.

That's really cool. I've always thought it would be fun to redesign props.

Wow you very talented, besides his mouth not being open it looks almost a exact replica of Acathla. Very nice, I like. Wish I could do that. I went through this phase where I would draw alot and I decided to try and draw dark willow, and didn't come out as good. Looked nothing liked her. Atleast yours came out looking like what you went for, lol. Anyway awsome job, it's lovely 🙂

Manderz- I too went through a period where I wanted to draw but nothing I tried ever came out looking like anything...
thank god for sculpting. At least with sculpting, if I don't like what I've done I can re-work it until it looks right.
I think my next "big" sculpt will be either an Illyria Statue (the one with the tentacles) or I might finally jump on recreating The Dulac Cross. If I do the latter I could then mold it up and then duplicate it in brass.

I might just have to try sculpting. We have classes available at my college and I wanna take an art class, but I am awful at drawing like I said, lol, but I think I could try sculpting. I love art!

You should definately give sculpting a try! I originally got into it for making prosthetic appliances for FX Make-up but it has lead me into so many other area's of creation and it's really very relaxing and rewarding at the same time.
