Accent

Hmmm I don't know he is European, but English, he sure doesn't sound like a Brit. Maybe he's from Austria, because Angelus en Darla, were in Vienna once!

I'm English & that is what his accent sounds like to me - only a bit more posh and old fashioned than most Brits now. The accents in the 18th century would have been more like Holtz's IMHO 🙂

I'll see if I can find the actual answer though

Double Post: -

I was looking through some sites to find out where Holtz is from & in Quickening, when it shows the flashback to when Angelus and Darla killed Holtz's family the caption on the screen says "York, 1764" & in that flashback it shows Holtz's house/family etc. so they definitely lived in York (which is in England).

Yes he is 100% suppose to be british, his accent is the best british accent i have heard mainly due to the fact that it isnt over the top posh (WWP) or over the top cockney (JM).

well for the first time i heard spike´s voice - or shoudl i better say james voice as spike 😉 - i really thougt he was british ..
really thought he was british - so i´ve to say - very well done james *LOL* ..
but his voice´s always soo sexy .. with an accent or without one .. *rrrr*

I'm totally with Catdog on the accents here Holtz has a totally realistic accent - enough that I actually thought he was English (being English myself). But JM's is still OK, he sounds like he has a few different accents rolled into one sometimes which I suppose would make sense considering he is a vampire that has lived for over a century and has moved around a lot. WWP doesn't have the same excuse - although living in the USA he may pick up a bit of the accent here and there (even though Giles still hasn't).

i finally got to hear JM with his normal voice in a buffy special interview from before season 6---he sounded awesome! and he was so funny in those interviews! 🙂

I might try that at home. I'm at work at the moment and my pc doesn't have sound here (so it would be pointless right now). 🙁

Thanks though 😀 I'll try to listen to it later!

An acting academy in the US

Double Post (next time use the edit button!):

Or better to say a college for performing arts....acting, music etc. It is in New York and sort of within the Lincoln Centre. You can find it on the web and read all about it.
