So we've discussed SMG vs ED concerning who portrayed the other the best. Let's compare Adam Busch and Alyson Hannigan. Did you find Adam's portrayal of Willow convincing at the beginning of the episode? How about Aly's portrayal of Warren at the end of the epi?

I know a lot of people loved Adam as Warren and thought he portrayed him very well, which I can agree with, but I find AB to be a little weak in the Killer In Me. It must have been hard to play Willow, but I didn't find it very convincing. I think in this episode AH's talent really shines through as being superior. But again, it's easier to play the bad guy than to play a 7 season main cast member who we've grown to know. AB had bigger shoes to fill than AH.

What does everyone think?

Ok,keep in mind its been 3 years, maybe more, since I've seen this episode. Having said that ,i thought Adam did a good job,and it is one of the better episodes from a season that i am not too crazy about. AH and AB both delivered on this ep, imo 🙂 I found it to be one of only two eps, UNFORTUNATELY, that dealt with Tara Maclay's tragic death. It was a much needed and quite often emotional episode for me personally. Back to the topic,i thought both actors did a good job,its just hard to see a man playing a feminine role,it is hard to translate that without looking kind of silly. Yet,it worked id say🙂

I think that AH is potentially the best actor/actress on either show, she is astounding: I think she's completely wasted pursuing HIMYM type roles, but then I'm not a fan of the show in general, so it may be bias

p.s. it could be Amy Acker, she is also incredible, I can't decide :/

Ever since BtVS I've wanted AH to go back to drama, that girl had too much talent to only do comedy
I didnt rate AB's pergformance as Willow at all. He didn't really convince for a second. There's one scene where he's talking to Xander as Willow, where I kind of winced at the perfomance. I could imagine Willow saying those things but I never bought AB as Willow.

But AH's performance as Warren (or Warren-like as the case may be) damn near saves the episode. All the rage, pain and guilt pours out. She acts everyone else of the screen.

I also think Alyson's one of the best actresses on the show, comedy, drama, being both angry and funny at the same time (oh how I miss high school Willow...)

Aly and Amy are probably the best female regulars. Although I rate SMG and Charisma very highly as well.
As for the guys- Alexis Denisof. It's not even close. 🙂

Alexis FTW :P
I just happened to watch the episode tonight. 😛

I thought AB did a passable job, though I think AH did a better job of portraying Warren (If Warren was a girl, I would want AH to portray girl Warren) than vice versa.

Though I don't mainly watch the episode for the Willow plot. I watched it mostly for the comic relief of Giles being suspected of being the First. 🙂

It may be my favourite line of the entire series. I laughed SO much after this.
I think Adam Busch did a fine job as Willow, but then as a minority in this thread, I think that Alyson Hannigan is a rather weak actress and I more cringed at her being Warren than the other way around.
