Don't know if these have been mentioned here (couldn't find a thread):

Brad Meltzer (of s8 fame/infamy lol): http://jimhalterman.com/interviews/...ew-book-decoded-and-a-joss-whedon-less-buffy/
V-CHAT with"¦Brad Meltzer on his #1 new book, DECODED and a Joss Whedon-less BUFFY
by Jim on January 27, 2011

@bradmeltzer @historychannel During the last stop on the 14-city tour for his new just-released novel The Inner Circle (which is #1 on the New York Times Best Seller List), writer Brad Meltzer sat down with me in Los Angeles to talk about constructing his latest novel as well as his hit History Channel series Brad Meltzer's Decoded (will there be a season 2? I asked!) and, since he's had a hand in writing the Buffy The Vampire Slayer comic books, I (also) had to ask what he thought of recent reports of a new movie without series creator Joss Whedon steering the ship or iconic Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Luke Perry (starred as Pike in the original Buffy movie): http://www.premiumhollywood.com/201...y-on-a-whedon-less-buffy-movie-no-joss-no-go/
Pike Speaks! "“ Luke Perry on a Whedon-less "Buffy" movie: "No Joss, no go."

In the midst of chatting with Bullz-Eye.com about his new Hallmark Movie Channel flick, "Goodnight for Justice," which premieres on January 29th, Luke Perry was willing to take a moment to weigh in on the idea of a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie without Joss Whedon at the helm.

"No Joss, no go," said Perry, who played the character of Oliver Pike in the 1992 film version of "Buffy. "They'd be fools to try to do it without him. They were fools to not include him as the director the first time. I hope he doesn't feel bad about what they're doing to his franchise, but clearly it's not going t be the same thing without him."

Go Luke Perry!!! I've always liked him..Beverly Hills anyone? (I know I was little but still...) Anyway, the amount of people who don't want the movie without Joss should make those people think twice..or even three and four times, they should reconsider this.

I wasn't expecting Luke to talk about this. I think it's fun that he does. Now time for Kristy Swanson to take a stand. 😉

Not sure how everyone can know that the movie won't work. Not the same doesn't have to mean bad after all. But that's not the discussion to have here I guess.

I'm SO glad someone from the original stood up against this reboot. GO LUKE PERRY! He's right, they were fools to not include him to direct the first one and they're fools now.

Haha, you're so funny Zoe :)
I'm going to make a stand.

I'm going to give this new BUFFY movie a chance. Why? Because I believe in being open-minded and giving others a chance.

If you guys are going to do your level best to torpedo this movie, because Joss Whedon isn't behind, then I have nothing but contempt. If that is how people do business, I want no part of it.
