Adopted new cat-Illyria

Today we decided to adopt one of the little baby strays living around our area. Poor little tiny baby didn't have anyone to feed it properly or give it love and attention so we decided to do so. She is about 2.5 months old and just the cutest thing. I thought she was a boy at first so I was calling her Niño. Then I noticed she was a girl. I didn't like Niña so I decided to go with one of my favorite Angel characters, Illyria. She already loves me and we only started giving her attention today. She runs to me lightening fast when I call out for her.

I am just so happy to have a new addition to our family so I wanted to share the info. She is however, an outdoor cat. Thus, she will stay an outdoor cat. I already have 3 indoor pets, 2 dogs and 1 cat so that's enough for me right now. But when we move she will be coming with us, etc. She is ours.

I will post a photo of two of her tomorrow.
 
Awww, that's so sweet. I'm such a cat lady. haha. We've had numerous stray cats moving in (the most recent of wish is just a large labrador-puppy size baby, haha). And great name for the cat; one of a kind I'm sure ;-)
 
Woah! that's a big baby who loves the camera. She's lovely and I'm sure she will bring you much joy. All my cats are outdoor cats now. I have so many cats that my dogs think they're cats too.
 
Good for you for taking in a stray.
I work with socializing stray cats so that they're fit for adoption and sometimes it's just so hard to get them placed in homes.
It really warms my heart when I see people taking in strays, or adopting cats who have slight behavioral problems or disabilities.
And, she's a cutie!

There are a couple of her siblings here and I want to find them homes so I am going to talk to the shelter here and see what they tell me. She is such a sweetie. I was having a very hard time getting her to stay on our property. Since she is out doors she likes to frolick, if you will. So yesterday I brought her in the house quite a few times and when I would let her back out she was still on the porch sleeping. And same with today. She spent the night inside where it's warm. I let her outside this morning to eat and drink and go to the washroom. I went back to sleep and when I came down to check on her she was on the porch sleeping. And it's where she is now. I am so happy. And I love her a lot, she's a sweetie.

I hope I can do something for her siblings. Her biological ones that is.
 
Sorry for the double post but I wanted to share some news about Illyra.
She went in today for spay and shots etc. I went to pick her up today at 3:30pm and was told she is so lucky to have been adopted by us because a little longer and she would not have been alive. She has tape worms and ear mites and fleas. I already knew about the fleas and the mites but didn't know about the worms.
Now she has a new lease on life and will be just fine. I am so pleased. I am however very worried about the other kittens and cats out there but going to do my best to find them homes. Hopefully save their lives too.

Well that's all, Illyria is ok. Still a bit out of it but ok.
