Hey guys I'm planning to sell a bunch of Buffy stuff I have (I just haven't the room anymore for stuff I don't really use/read/look at much anymore) and I was wondering whether you guys could give me some advice?

You see it's a huge collection that includes around 30 Buffy books (some brand new, some obviously read) including the essay book Sex and the Slayer, there is also a prop stake from the show, the prop replica of Buffy's cross (though never worn, while it's in it's box the back of the cross has become rather tarnished) and the replica of Anyanka's necklace in it's box.

So my question are, for any of you have sold stuff or just know about selling stuff, would it be better to sell it as one big batch of Buffy merchandise or selling the books separately, and the props separately or what? Also which is the best place to sell it? I first thought ebay but I think a lot of stuff gets missed or ignored on there.

Any advice anyone?

Personally I'd sell it all individually but say at the end of your listing that you are selling a massive collection so to please look at your other items for sale.

Well I can tell you right now that, depending on the price, I might buy your Anyanka's necklace and some books.

As for were to put it. I can only think of E-Bay or Amazon...

Tuppence selling them separate is better as more fans will buy the props, I am collector and would love Anya's necklace, selling on ebay or amazon is the best place to sell.

Thanks for your tips and advice guys; think I'll definitely be putting them on ebay and I'll be separately putting up the props- I'll let you guys know when I've put up the anyanka necklace so those interested can have a mosey, haha.
Since its not available online anywhere at the moment, I'm just going to go off what I paid originally and take it lower to account for it being technically second hand. 🙂

Definitely agree that selling individually would be best.

What do you mean by anyankas necklace: a replica of the original/ official replica of the original or the actual original?

Hey guys I'm getting ready to sell all my items, and I'm not sure what price to put the anyanka necklace at. I went to Forbidden Planet in the hopes they had an idea, but since it's no longer available at all (at least in the UK) the guy told me I could set any price I wanted, which frankly was no help at all. Anyway I hate when people put out-of-stock things at like ten times their original price. I pay £45 originally, and it's never been worn so I don't know...do you guys have any idea what price I should say?

Also if any of you are interested in buying it I would be happy to sort that out. 🙂

If you're looking to sell merchandise, my best advice would be to do your research for similar items on sites like EBay, where you can see the going rate for items like yours, and then list them there with competitive prices.

The problem is I can't find any for sale to compare to for the Anyanka necklace, haha, or anything similar to it.

Well look at similar items; other prop replica pieces. Then start your bidding out at a comparable price.
You can search on ebay for ended auctions, I saw one that sold for $29.99, others site list it at $35.99 and $39.99.

Ooh thanks for that, that's a great help (this sounds sarcastic, but I'm being completely genuine!)
