Advice needed on my love life or lack of it!

Akasha, I had the same fears and questions you have now when I first entertained the idea of meeting my "special someone" in person. All I tell you is to follow your gut instinct. I agree with all those who say to be cautious and to meet in public. If he really cares for you he will understand and not be offended. You should let us know what happens! 🙂

yeah i will do...but ive just been naughty and created a new profile for myself pretending to be someone else and used a friends picture and guess what he came on line and tried requesting a private chat with me....so it doesnt look like he's dying in hospital and i wont be meeting him *%"$%^@:?><~#+***** bloody men...why do they do this...right thats it im becoming a lesbian ::crying::

Oh I'm so sorry but now you know...before you got yourself into a potentially dangerous situation. Smart cookie you are for catching him in his lies.

I was going to say though...he called you and text messaged you from a cellular in a hospital...that's a big no no right there, aren't allowed to use cellular technology in hospitals.

Sorry again hun.

Sorry to hear that Akasha. We men can be such b*st*rds - glad I'm a lesbian (I must be cos I did a quiz in a Sunday tabloid once and came out as one cos I like women - it didn't say you had to be a woman to take the quiz🙂)

As my Mum always says "There's plenty more fish in the sea." To which I always replied "But Mum I don't want to go out with a fish!"🙂

LoL thanks mr pointy youve definately cheered me up...

Redslayer...yeah i knew that but just didnt want to admit straight away he was a lying no good scoundrel....he has just sent me another message saying "im in so much pain and so upset why has this happened to me" i feel like saying oh btw my friend (who is really me) has told me that you just tried to chat with her...just to see what he says or i might just keep up the charade and get my revenge somehow Mwwahahaha 😀

sounds to me like the guy is really insecure about his looks and went to a massive amount of trouble to decieve you to see what you reaction was to what he really looked like. Of course the whole car accident bit is really tacky.

::bat:: (nothing to do with the thread but I really like this smily.

It's better you found out now. But don't let him smooth talk you into feeling bad for him...people like that are usually really good at that sort of thing. They know all the right things to say.

I wouldn't do it! Anyway, he sounds like a right B*****d if you ask me! I'd think twice before getting to know these people! Just be glad you didn't meet him and find out he's not who he says and he's a pedophile or something! Take care honey!

Hey guys i need some advice..i joined up with a kind of internet dating thing (i know its sad but it was only for a laugh) but i met a guy on there who is absolutely gorgeous and is a male model..anyway we have been emailing each other and i gave him my phone number and we have talked a couple of times...the thing is he lives in California and is working in Italy and greece at the moment and has suggested coming to England to meet me on his way home.. i really like him but i dont even know if its really him in the pictures or not and i want to trust him but am very wary about the whole situation...i have asked him to send me more pictures of him but he hasnt yet only the ones that are on his modelling page thing...
Do you think i should meet him? or just ignore his messages, emails etc..its just that if i do meet him and its not the guy from the pictures what then... although i have feelings for him anyway without even meeting him he would have lied to me...god help me what should i do?
The most dangerous thing about the internet is the ability to lie w/ complete anonimity from everyone but the most skilled hacker and the government. This man could be the man of your dreams, but since he is a "male model" who won't take the time to send you one personal picture of himself online, I am inclined to believe that he has NO more personal photo's that look like the man you see w/ you talk to him. Be careful. ::bat:: ::bat:: :: hiding: ::rolf::

That's way to dangerous and people can pretend to be people they're not.

And BTW an internet dating service (Don't get mad my opinion) is kind of pathetic and desperate. I know that's harsh and it's just my opinion.

Your entitled to your own opinion...but i am in no way pathetic or desperate...as i have mentioned before i did it for a laugh..it was just to meet people and have a laugh.. not that im defending myself, i have no reason to.
But im not going to meet this guy now anyway...so i guess this thread is kinda closed..but just want to say thanks to everyone for your advice and help, it means a lot to me 😀

if you are gonna meet him take my advice. My old friend met a guy who she met on the internet at a mall last summer and he was for real and there still dating. But stay safe. See me my boyfriend and a bunch of our friends went with her and all met him together. So be with a group or a crowded place like a mall or down town....just incase and spend all day with him in a public area just in case....oh dont go alone with him, not untill u know him well enough to trust him
^_^
