In the last season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his crew learned of the existence of not only another independently operating faction of S.H.I.E.L.D. but also of the Kree-human hybrids, the Inhumans, who were living secretly apart from human society. Now, the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Instagram account has provided another clue with a secret message that confirms the third season will tackle the Secret Warriors.

The post encourages fans to take a screenshot and lighten the filter in order to uncover the secret message, but we went ahead and took care of that for you.

This refers to "Secret Warriors" by Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli, the series from which the show draws a lot of influence. In that series, Daisy Johnson (which is Skye's birth name) leads a sleeper team of superpowered peers called a caterpillar team. After Terrigen is exposed to the general population at the end of "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" second season, it seems as though Skye will get a sleeper super team in the show -- something that was teased when Coulson handed her a blue folder labeled "Caterpillar" in the season finale.

Starring Gregg, Chloe Bennet and Ming-Na Wen, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season three premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9 pm EST on ABC.

I'm good like that 😉

I did forget to say that I might have to try to suffer through this show again, if they've brought the Inhumans into it. That's one of my fav comics out right now.

I am so afraid. Suffer. Yeah. I havent finished the first season.. I think I saw maybe four episodes, if that. I just.. I cant do it. I am curious as to what happens and all, but I cant watch that show for anything.

I actually kind of liked season 1, didn't really care for season 2. Also don't know anything about the comics so this does not interest me in the least. I'll probably catch it when my roommate watches it, but that's about it. For a show called "Agents of Shield" I kind of just want that, not the origins of Skye. I don't really care for the actress either.

I missed the end of season 1, because they took it off air and I didn't see that it was back on. Tried to pick it back up in season 2, but then I just gave up. I'm not sure what it is, but I can't get into it. I like Melinda May, I know that much... but that might be all I know.

Yea she's my favorite. Such a bad ass. And she gets more to do more in terms of acting range in s2 but like i said it became the Skye show. Which i don't like.

Yeah Skye doesn't interest me all that much either. I've heard what the deal is with her online and I just didn't care that much tbh
Just finished season 2, and do think it was very Skye heavy, but still enjoyed finding out more about the other characters, hopefully this new secret warriors wont divide the show too much, or maybe it can lead into a Skye spin off, which would be better.
