Loads of websites are saying AoS has been picked up for a full season, but nothing has been officially announced yet. Upfronts are on at the moment, so the public announcement is expected any time now.

There was a teaser leaked online by ABC, which they then pulled from YouTube, it showed footing from the incredible hulk as if filmed by someone recording him, found footage style, with the Rising Tide logo in the bottom, the video can be seen on SuperHeroHype

This Fall, Joss Whedon will once again have a series on network television. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD." pilot was ordered by ABC last August, and now various sources including Entertainment Weekly, IGN and SitcomcsOnline are reporting that ABC has all but publicly confirmed the pilot has been picked up to series.

Directed by "The Avengers" helmer Whedon and co-written by Whedon along with "Dollhouse" veterans Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, the series spins out of the events of "The Avengers" and stars Clark Gregg, returning to his fan-favorite role as Agent Phil Coulson, and Marvel Universe newcomers Brett Dalton, Ming-Na-Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet.

Amidst the flurry of reports about the pickup, ABC also briefly released a 7-second teaser on the youtube page that was pulled soon after its release according to Slashfilm. The video features a rampaging Hulk caught on video, as well as a logo reading "Rising Tide." You can view the teaser embedded below.

We can only speculate as to whether or not the Hulk -- or other Marvel super heroes (and villains) -- will be appearing in the series based on this initial teaser.

CBR News has reached out to Marvel for official confirmation on the pickup but has not heard back as of publication.

I'd say it's true, cuz ABC would be insane not to pick the series up with Avengers billion in the bank, but nothings official yet!

well if they ordered it, why wouldn't they pick it up? I think it's clear they should have it on the "definitely" list for this fall.

Well they order pilots all the time without picking up shows, some shows get to the scripting stage (Like Sarahs last show), some get the pilot produced but not picked up to series (like Wonder Women from last season)

But they'd be insane to not pick it up!

Yeah I heard the same from Twitter just now. The finale is this Sunday on ABC, seen a few reports say the news wont be announced till tomorrow.

Deadline are reporting it as official: Source

With a cool promo pic:

And confirm promo to air this Sunday during Once Upon a Times season finale

Honestly, I wasn't really all that concerned that it wouldn't get picked up for a full season. Marvel is hot stuff right now, there was no way the network was going to pass on it unless it was really, truly awful.

I'm happy, though, can't wait for the trailer to hit.

Though, the girl on the very far left of that photo is wearing practically the exact outfit I was wearing yesterday and I don't know if I should be pleased or outraged, lol.

You looked way better in it than her, I'm sure. 🙂

'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' officially picked up at ABC; get your first look at the cast

ABC has ordered its pilot "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." to series, confirming maybe the most no-brainer decision of this upfront season.

The show stars Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson, reprising his role from "The Avengers" and several Marvel movies that preceded it. The cast also includes Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet and Iain de Caestecker.

"Avengers" writer-director Joss Whedon also directed the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." pilot and co-wrote it with his brother Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen. All three will be executive producers, along with long-time Whedon writer-producer Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb ("Smallville," "Heroes").

Per ABC, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will follow Coulson and his team as "they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary." The first teaser for the series will air Sunday (May 12) during the "Once Upon a Time" season finale.
