AI generated Buffy Episodes

Sometimes I dream about having found some Buffy episode I've never seen before.

Although I generally deeply dislike AI I have to say it'll probably become reality in the not too distant future that we'll be able to get new AI-generated episodes of Buffy, like e.g. another episode set between episode 3x11 and 3x12.

Even if the vast majority of AI generated episodes would turn out to be garbage there might be an occasional interesting one.

Rack was an interesting character , I felt like he had some tragic backstory. That actor has been around for ages, he was on a very touching episode of Highway to Heaven. Yes, I'm that old.

Rack is definitely a character whom, with a little world building and some script polishing could have been an interesting character. I mean, he's basically Darth "The Senate" Sideous. Willow is fearful of losing Tara, rejects white magic for black magic, finds the Dark Magnus Rack, becomes Rack's apprentice, rejects the Dark Magics with the help of her friends, only to reembrace them at the finale arc. Heck, make her kill of Rack a sacrifice to the Hell Goddess who was manipulating her all along. Suddenly, the story is less about drugs and more about the evils that come from a desire for control. Heck, you even have an order of White Witches seeking to balance the force. It really is an urban fantasy version of Episode III, or at least, all the pieces are there. Joss probably could have fixed it, but he wasn't doing rewrites in Season 6.

Guess Sora/ChatGPT is not the right tool for this. Already had imagined to create an episode consisting of 240 10 seconds-scenes (= 40 minutes).

But this is the result of my first 10 seconds-scene that was created from the prompt "Create a video where Faith (Eliza Dushku) is strangled by a monster. Then Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) comes and kicks the monster's head off to save Faith":

That's not at all what I asked it to create. Also there's only one person included that looks like a Buffy stunt double at best.
No one looks like Eliza Dushku or Sarah Michelle Gellar. Instead we got Alyssa Milano.

The '50s concept videos are one of the few interesting things I've seen done with the Buffyverse in regards to A.I. (whereas the majority of the rest devolves pretty quickly into soft porn):

More like proof of concept for a Tales of the Slayers/Vampires/Demons/Watchers-type spinoff set in the past.

At least they don't look like a demon eating that girl's face off and a severed head! LOL!

If it helps get the Buffy animated series made, I'm all for using A.I. to get it done! The series / universe is still so ripe with more, untold stories- especially with season 1 being so short. I'd love to see a new animated series (would be amazing if the actors came back to do the voice work) set back in high school to add even more to the original. Especially knowing where the original series went, different things could be explored in the animated season 1...like Angel & Cordelia could be much more of a love triangle with Buffy, leading to an episode where Buffy & Cordelia vie/have a major conflict over Angels affection...Cordelia losing and eventually ending up with Xander in season 2. Also, Giles & Jenny! They deserve(d) an episode revolving around their relationship.

We could also explore more in some animated season 1 episodes about Darla (before Angel stakes her), Amy getting into magic after learning how it could be used to her advantage, Joyce working in the art gallery, demon teachers from hell and other monsters of the week.

Later exploration could get into more with Kendra in season 2 between 'What's my Line?' & 'Becoming', an episode around Drusilla using Angel to lure Buffy into a trap which Spike foils behind the scenes... more of Larry (coming out episode), Devon, Oz & Dingoes ate my baby (vampire girl groupies who want to suck the bands blood?), another episode (or two or three) set in 'The Wish' bizarro-land universe with Vamp Willow, Vamp Xander etc., Faith's life on the run/facing demons, Giles & Ethans backstory, The Mayors backstory (when he sold his soul), one quintessential 'Snyder' episode!! 'Band Candy' was great but Snyder deserves his own episode, I'm thinking something to do with the students terrorizing him, like the students are the demons to him. I can come up with a lot of ideas.

Though this is, in theory, a great idea - and Buffy is far from the only series where it would be great to have more content of that type - in practice, it really needs asking "Can the companies be trusted to use AI in such a way that they don't deliberately screw people over instead of paying them as they should be paid?" So far, the answer to that is a very definite no.

I despise AI with every fiber of my being, but admit that it's enviable and I will need to eventually accept it.

As for the Buffy concept videos, I like the second one the best.

I still believe the best way to "fill in" missing episodes is with fan fiction. I'd much rather read that than watch an AI generated episode, personally.

Animated series - without AI! 😀 - and audio dramas can work too. Though peoples' voices do age, that ageing tends to be less obvious than physical ageing in live media is. And novels of course. I guess comic books are another way, but I've found I am not a fan of those (I own 1 slash 2 that I picked up second hand; two physical books but only one story, Batman Knightfall parts 1 and 2).

I'm looking for an old parody and stumbled across this that I thought a few would like (a little over a minute trailer style):

I thought it worth mentioning that even some people who are against the constant reboots and such are more open to fan-made AI content. Though I'm wary of AI, and think plenty of it is garbage, I've seen a few that I think are better than the reboots and continuations from official sources.

Heck, in one case I saw an AU (Alternate Universe) which I liked BETTER than the original (though that wasn't made with AI, but I wish it were so that they'd pump out episodes a lot faster).

So I could become more excited with a little less reservation for fan-made AI eps of Buffy, should someone put a lot of effort into it (rather than just prompt the AI to make it all--something I strongly suspect professional writers are doing themselves).
