Wes is so cool. (this one crosses episodes, so I'll start a new topic for it)
The wrist device is great, especially the sword part, and the part with gunn.
He is also really cool because he is so abrupt to everyone. ("why are you still here?")
Finally, the guns section in Rain of Fire or Apocalypse Nowish is so good. It looks so stylish.
Wes has shot ahead of Doyle as my favourite character. Let's hope they don't return him to his role in series 2/early series 3 as just the gang's translator. He would be so cool as more of a fighter.

i've just resently watched season 1, after most of season 4 and Wes is really different, in season 1 he's a bit of a berk, but now he is far more kick ass!!

I agree completely. I was watching Season 1 a few months ago, my hubby hadn't really gotten into Angel until this last season aside from an episode here or there.

After the first few episodes, he turns to me and says "Uh, so when does Wes turn into the awesome a$$-kicker he is now?" LOL excuse my language.

His character has grown so much, and gotten so dark, but in a really good way, unlike some of the other Angel characters.
