Alan Rickman Dies Aged 69

I just saw this. I'm deeply sadden by this news, the world is a little less bright today. He was a fabulous actor. He gave life to one of my favourite fictional character ever, and gave the chance for a whole generation of kids (and adult) to believe in magic, and to believe in the good of people. Alan Rickman, you will be remembered. Always.
 
Just...I'm against this whole entire year now. 2016 officially sucks.
Also time is stupid. Goddamn it, I'm so upset. 🙁
 
I can't believe this. I just can't. This is a terrible start to the new year. I love Alan Rickman. He was great in everything! The movie world just won't be the same without his talent. Also I'll never get a sequel to Galaxy Quest! This is just so sad. RIP
 
One of the finest character actors, who produced one of the most nasty and fun screen villains of all time. Constantly watchable, a great and warm caracter in front of and behind the camera. This is offically the worst week ever. RIP.
 
Although in my time I've worked on two Harry Potter films I've never had to luck to meet him, but I do remember my first day there when a friend of mine and myself were in the canteen and who should sweep in in fall costume but the man himself. To say he looked quite scary and impressive is an understatement. 🙂

He came across and stood at the table directly behind us and started speaking to a family who he obviously knew as he then crouched down to get eye level with their young daughter. My mate said "listen he's gone into character", and he had. To this young girl he was Snape. She was gob smacked. He was very gentle with here and signed a book she had brought along.

To say I was very impressed.
 
Aww, man, this sucks. This isn't hitting me as hard as Lemmy's death, but I liked Rickman a lot, especially as Hans Gruber. RIP.
 
But RIP Alan Rickman 🙁. Is anyone here Harry Potter fans? How did you react to the news?
It's a sad day in the Harry Potter fandom and over the world.
Thoughts and prayers to his friends and Family. Thank you for protryaing Severus Snape as wonderful as you did.

Another one of the great has become a memory but oh, what a memory. A husband to Rima who he married in 2012, who he started to live with in 1977 and started to date in 1965. He was Godfather to Tom Burke recently Athos in the BBC's The Musketeers.
Truly he is one of the few people that many folk will hope he actually Rests In Peace.
 
He was such a part of my teen years, I think I might have to put off the rest of my HP rewatch for a while, I have a rewatch every year but this one will have to wait.

People have created a small memorial at Kings Cross for him. One day I'll do a Harry Potter tour and go to platform 9 3/4 and to the Studio tour.
