So I am having this beautiful dream, I'm talking epic quality wonderful when suddenly I am shocked into consciousness by this most offensive and annoying sound. Upon recognizing it as my alarm clock, my body moves in its most automated fashion toward the sound, seeking to stamp it out. Upon successfully finding the snooze button, I almost gleefully return across the room to the warm comfort awaiting me back in bed. But the is one more obstacle between myslef and my prize. My dog. She is sleeping in the place that was meant to contain a lover, but that is another story. I love my dog, she adds to the warmth. I do not, however, want to take the effort to go around her, so in my barely conscious brilliance, I decide to go over her. Yes. I will gracefully dive over her and back into my still warm, happy place. So without thinking or calculating (physics never was my strong subject) I launch myself over her gliding toward my bed and back to dreamland. As I sailed though the air and toward the bed I began to realize that I had overshot the bed. I was now on a clear trajectory to collide with the wall. I began to grab madly for anything that might stall this impending impact, and there it was, my bedside lamp. It in its tiny glory will be my saviour. I reach out to it grabbing it, praying it will hold. It does not. No, the lamp, and the entire contents of my very messy bed side table follow me as I bounce into the wall and land in that tiny space between my bed and the wall. The lamp shade now rests, disconnected on my head, and my dog intrigued by the commotion I have caused is now towering over me, standing in the place on my bed that I was definetly not in. At this point I, and possibly the neighbors am/are fully awake. But, you ask if you are still reading my woeful tale of miscalculation, did I get up? No! I crawled triumphantly, pushing my sleeping companion back to her side of the bed, into my now cold place, and closed my eyes only to be greeted again by the harsh noise that began my adventure.

LMAO! A tale of adventure even before you've had breakfast. Alarms clocks should be banned! We should all just wake up when we wake up.
