Alex O'Loughlin's "Buffy" Connection

Has anyone else noticed that Alex O'Loughlin, in his two TV series, "Moonlight" and "Hawaii Five O," featured vampires from BTVS as the villains? In the "Moonlight," premier, "There's No Such Thing As Vampires," the murderer, Professor Ellis, (who actually described himself as a "living vampire") was portrayed by Rudolph Martin, who portrayed Dracula in the Season 5 opener. In the "Hawaii Five O" premier, international terrorist and gun trader, Hesse, was played by James Marsters, who we all know as Spike.

I didn't know about the other vampire show he was involved with, but I'm a huge Hawaii Five-O fan (of the reboot at least). Alex O'Laughlin is a terrific lead and Scott Caan is killer as Danny Williams. And it was awesome seeing Spike as the S1 big bad. Very cool.

Anyone else here watch the show?

Yeah, in Moonlight he is a vampire and a detective for the police, obviously the vampire part it hidden lol. I could never really get into it but my mom suggested it to me, its only 1 or 2 seasons if I remember correctly. PS She is madly in love with Alex, or was pre crack head and rehab lol.

David Greenwalt being show runner and Executive Producer might have something to do with all of this.

EDIT.

Scrap that, he was only showrunner for a couple of months before he had to leave the show for health reasons. I came across a few reviews as I was reading about Greenwalt and WOW did the critics pan this.

Plus in all fairness you can find James Marsters in an episode of most tv shows. He is one of those supporting actors that can fit into anything, much like Amy Acker who also is credited as a guest in many shows.
