Variety reports that:
Alexander Skarsgard walked the red carpet at the “Diary of a Teenage Girl” premiere wearing a sparkly gold dress, a sky-high blonde wig and a full face of makeup.

Skarsgard — who stars opposite Kristen Wiig and Bel Powley in the 1970s-set pic as a 35-year-old who has an affair with the 15-year-old daughter (Powley) of his girlfriend (Wiig) — didn’t offer an explanation for his appearance. Many speculate that his choice of attire was a nod to his co-star Joshua Grannell, or “Peaches Christ,” a drag performer who plays a transvestite in the pic.

The Swedish actor is no stranger to going in drag. He played a statuesque transvestite in Swedish pic “Kill Your Darlings” in 2006.

Have you seen the picture of Eddie Redmayne as a woman? It's for the film role of one of the first men to undergo gender reassignment in the 1930's.

He looks very attractive actually. It's the cheek bones and the lips that do it.

Yeah, but he (Redmayne) looked more woman-like and less draglike.

Neither can hold a candle to Eddie Izzard though.

Those legs. :)
Is it weird that I want men who dress up like women to look 'woman-like' and not obviously a drag act? 😕

*sigh* I'm so confused.
