All about Charmed

I like Charmed a lot! But I'm a Julian fan so when he died(which was totally the most horrible death on Charmed...it didn't do the character justice!!) I slowly stopped watching(I was 2 heartbroken LOL), but now I've been watching season 6. It is so sad about Piper and Leo. I was a phoebe and cole fan so i didn't like how Piper and Leo were so perfect all the time, but now I think its horrible how they are "divorced". O and Drew Fuller is a total hottie! Also, the show is totally better w/o Shannen Doherty! Rose just makes it work

It's one of the newer promo pics that have been released during this season. Speaking of season, according to Lin Milano of Safesearching, all three ladies signed for one more season. For those who don't know her, she's Alyssa's mom and is very connected behind the scenes to the show. So it's very likely that she has the scoop on such things. We'll have to see if The WB gives the green light to S7. 🙂

Yep. I also read the same rumors that she was leaving. Perhaps because some people thought that she wasn't getting any juicy storylines lately that they concluded that she would leave after this season. Assuming what Lin said can be corroborated and The WB approves Season 7, Rose would've done more episodes than Shannen by that time. Now that would be interesting, considering that people thought that the show wouldn't last long after S3. I'll leave it to others to comment further on that. 😀

Anyway, Alyssa did a guest column for Esquire magazine. This is called "10 Things You Don't Know About Women".

I havent been online in a while and havent been up on any rumors. First off if what Alyssa' mom says turns out to be true then I am very happy indeed. I think the rumor about Rose was all based on what she said when she first signed which was that she didnt want to do more then 3 years on a tv show.
As for the Rose Shannen comparison I dont think thats fair to either one of them. They are obviously 2 completly different people and their differences are astounding in the context of the show. Prue was the eldest and was in charge most of the time. Piper and Phoebe have grown up since then, the Phoebe now is much different from the Phoebe on season 3. Naturally Paige's character would be so different because she is now the youngest and Piper is the eldest. Blah Blah Blah, truth always comes down to one thing you either like Shannen or you dont I have noticed there are very few in betweens when it comes to her. As for me I think she is great. To bad she did not stay on longer.

Interesting News...

OK. I found this while browsing another website. There's a group called the Women's Image Network, a non-profit organization formed to promote women in theatre, television and film. Here's a bit about their mission:

Founded in 1987 as a not-for-profit corporation, Women's Image Network was formed to encourage positive portrayals of women in theater, television and film to alter limited perceptions of women in all walks of life. Using these far-reaching mediums, WIN helps women have their own voice in creating their own image and encourages stories that depict positive, powerful, confident and courageous women.

Anyway, they've announced the nominations for different categories of their WIN awards. Alyssa was nominated in the Best Actress in a Drama category. CHARMED was also nominated in the Comedy Series category, which is interesting in of itself since the show has been thought of as a drama. ::dk::

Wait I am trying to comprehend this, Charmed is considered a comedy yet one of the stars is nominated in the drama category?
Makes no sense to me, especially since Charmed really isnt a comedy though it has become a little more comedic since season 5. Where did you that info DW?
One final though that picture you attached you know they almost have the exact same haircut! lol

The season finale last year when he was introduced I really couldnt stand him. I felt about him the same way I felt about Blucas during stint on Buffy and I decided that there is no sense despising a character especially since he will be there the whole season, so I havent been as annoyed with Chris, but it is still tough. I agree with a lot of what you said he trully is a terrible actor.

After two previous rumors about DVD releases of this show didn't pan out, we are pleased to bring you some REAL, concrete information - direct from the studio - about this title.

As you probably know, TVShowsOnDVD site owner Gord Lacey spent today at the TV DVD Conference in Los Angeles.

During the conference, Paramount had a recorded presentation about their TV-to-DVD properties, and Charmed was mentioned. There was no release timeframe given, but it IS headed to DVD eventually. However, a spokesman from Paramount pointed out to Gord that their home video rights for Charmed don't go into effect until 2005. So there is no possibility of DVD releases for this show prior to that time.

Music issues may still affect this release; we really don't know what the status of that situation is. Stay tuned, though, and we'll continue to keep a close eye on the DVD status of this series.
