Where did he come from? Who is he, really? We must discuss this defender of freedom (and secret Scooby).

Hogma was born in the year of our Lord, 1700. He enjoys Cool Ranch Doritos, cheesecake, and occasionally small children. His astrological sign is Scorpio. He's also into gardening and slaughtering his enemies as brutally as possible. Other than that, not much is known about him.

I loved it when Hogma confessed to Buffy; 'I know that I'm a monster Giant Nuclear Pig but you treat me like a Ham.'


- It is thought that Hogma knew the original Mr. Gordo that the plushy Mr. Gordo is based on.
- He also dislikes Xander for eating Herbert the adorable Pig mascot when possessed by a demon, similar to how Xander himself dislikes Angel and the like.

Hogma has a tough exterior, but also a soft spot for Buffy. They've actually fought together a few times, and they get on very well...except for that one time he tried to eat her. But she forgave his little faux pas, mainly because he was a good fighter...plus both of them were addicted to online poker. Fun fact: her nickname for him is Piggly Wiggly. He likes it.

Hogma once had a thoroughly indecent love affair with Miss Piggy. Kermit the Frog objected loudly, but that did absolutely nothing. Hogma and Miss Piggy's burning passion for each other was epic. But it had to end eventually, of course. They parted on good terms and went their separate ways.

The real question is, did you prefer the season 2 costume where he was played by a guy in an rented off the rack pig man costume, the season five version where they contacted a professional costume designer to create one that looked pretty impressive, or the Season 3 pigman which a understudy Rum Tum Tugger wore a pigmask and did a dance evocative of a pig in motion?

When he's not slaughtering his enemies and eating small children, Hogma enjoys reading a good book. However, he was quite disappointed with The Three Little Pigs, exclaiming, "Damn it, I thought there was nudity in here! What a rip-off."
