Just a sort of funny anecdote: a friend of mine named her middle child ...Willow Dawn. And she had never even watched "Buffy" - it was a total coincidence!! Turns out, the baby was conceived in a town called Willow Lakes, and she was awoken with labor pains at dawn... hence the name, Willow Dawn. Incidentally, little Willow was born in a car on an Arizona highway!

Well I only have that one story when I was watching a documentary on TV about food and all of a sudden the Buffy theme started playing in the background of this documentary, for no apparent reason.
And well, that's all I can think of.

I can't think of any except when I was in High School there was this guy that EVERYBODY had a crush on and his name, well nickname anyway, was Spike. (Ironically because he had spikey hair like Angel...weird)

I've told this before on the Boards, so I'm sure some of you remember it, but anyway: One Sunday in church, our minister had a sermon entitled "Faith Is The Key," and I immediately thought, "No, Faith is the Slayer, it's DAWN who's the key."

The music from 'Chosen' was played during a WWE pay-per-view a few months ago. It made me all giddy 'cause it brought together my two favorite things. lol

Um, anything else? My first name is the same as one of the main actresses (but it's spelt differently) my sister's first name is the same as one of the main actresses, there's the same age gap between me andmy sister as there is between Buffy and Dawn (sadly, my brother's in between, lol)

Um, Angel was offically cancelled on my birthday? That was the worst year EVER! lol

If we're gpoing for the name thing:

I share a name with a popular recurring guest star (Kristine Sutherland) and the second name (though spellt differently) of a main actress (Michelle Christine Trachtenberg). Oh, and my Mom was born in Russia, just like Michelle's Mom, and the last name sounds kinda German...
Oh, and of course I share my birthday with Buffy creator Joss Whedon...yeah, June 23 rules!

I remember meeting this older girls at my school I'd just entered 6th form. In 6th form at our school, the upper and lower 6th were put into joint forms, whereas we'd never socialised with 'the older girls' before this point.

I remember coming in and putting my bag down on the first day, and sitting there. I wasn't friends with any of the other girls in my from from my year (they were the 'popular' ones, like Harmony lol) and this group of 3girls from the upper 6th came in and sat near me. They'd been laughing and joking about stuff, and one of them turned round and said 'Truth is, I like this world', and before I could stop myself I turned round and said 'It's got dog racing, Manchester United and people'.
The same girl finished the quote then stared at me like I was mad, then we all started laughing and ended up being friends!

We used to Buffy quote in our daily lives all the time back then without realising it, because we were all obsessed, so we'd always finish eachothers sentences and people thought we were mad, but we already knew the sentences because they were quotes!

[Oddly enough, I met some more girls from my school in a similar way regarding the Final Fantasy playstation games, and it's how I met 2 of my guy mates because we both liked WWE and Spurs football team. Apparently I don't make friends unless we accidently find out we have the same things in common!]

The last episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer first aired on my birthday but I missed it cuz I was partying. Although, I snuck upstairs to see the ending. I saw from when Spike burned to a crisp till the end. I remember seeing Joss' name after Buffy smiled and yelling, "NOOOOOO!"

During a discussion, my Sociology professor asked the class, "I mean do you really think the Buffy movie is as good as the TV show?" That woke me right up. I don't even know what lead to that question. LOL

My son's second names are James and David which was, admitedly co-incidental but now I think it is totally cool because i love Spike and Angel (see: my avitar)

I have two-ish. My friend's sister named her daughter River, and my thesis defense was a big geek session because one of the professors is a Buffy geek, one's a Buffy geek in training, and the other was left out because he doesn't know much about Fantasy (but I think I'm sucking him in--I gave him Firefly & Serenity on DVD as a thank-you gift).

Age gap between me and my brother is the same as between Buffy & Dawn. And age gap between my two cousins (they're sisters) is equal too.
Also I share my birthday(20th March) with Bianca Lawson :biggrin:
