Tara is one of my favorite charictors. She brought a lot of knowledge and humor to the group. I am starting this thread so people can share some of their favorite Tara quotes, moments, speels, eppisodes, and information.

One of my favorite Tara quotes is: "You had a cramp, In your....pants?"

One of my all time favorite Tara moments is in "Older and far away" when Anya was getting on Willow for not trying to use her magic to get them out of the house. And Tara got right infront of Anya and let her know that was not ok. "If you want to force her to do something agaisnt her will you are going to have to go through me!" Tara started out shy and quiet but people learned that you do not mess with her and even Anya knew it cause she shut up right quick.

So come on people share some of your Tara favorites!

Even though I thought Tara was cute looking at Willow in the Wicca-group it took me a little time to really love her. But now Tillow is my favourite ship in the whole show and Tara is high up among favourite characters.

There's a lot go great moments and the cramp line is hilarious. The scene were she talks with Buffy and Buffy breaks down is another favourite. And when the scoobies thought Buffy slept with Spike and it was only the Buffybot and Tara defending Buffy until she gets that they're talking about her sleeping with Spike and all of a sudden it's "What, are you kidding? She's nuts." 😀

But my two favourites, not surprising is:

Tara: I am, you know.
Willow: What?
[Tara turns and looks up at Willow.]
Tara: Yours.

And

TARA: There's just so much to work through. Trust has to be built again, on both sides ... (Willow looking upset) You have to learn if ... if we're even the same people we were, if you can fit in each other's lives.
Willow continues looking at Tara, sadly.
TARA: It's a long... important process, and ... can we just skip it? Can-can you just be kissing me now?

And I just noticed your Glee button. I love it! I can even get over the VHness of it, cause it's so brilliant!

You know, just reading that kind of gives me goose bumps.

There are so many great Tara moments. I really like Tara/Dawn scenes. Like when they're drinking milkshake. And when they fall asleep on the couch. And when they thumb wrestle. I like their relationship a lot.

Tara - joint with Anya obviously - is my favourite character within Buffy. She always seemed to think she wasn't a valued member of the Scoobies, but she was always the one who was there to help; who was so normal and helpful. Like, when Buffy came back from the grave and was sleeping with Spike, Tara was the one she trusted, and even once she and Willow were split up, she still went to see Dawn. She was such a nice person; shy, yeah, but always the Scooby who I thought I'd most like to be friends with, if it was real.

Family is one of my all-time favourite episodes, and I think Tara shone through in it, she showed that she was more than just a pushover when she told her Dad to 'get out' and I love that little exchange with her and Willow, when Willow says seeing what she grew up with; she was proud of her. I also thought to grow up with a family like that, yet grow up to be such an amazing person would have been hard.

I also love, that although she doesn't have that many funny quotes, when she does have humorous moments, I always managed to laugh. Like in 'I Was Made to Love You' there's one of my favourite Tara quotes "She practically had genuine molded-plastic stamped on her ass...Just trying a little spicy talk." That line in itself seemed so out of character for Tara, but I always loved that, how she always had another side to her; there was always something about her that we, as viewers, never knew. I truly loved Tara, I never cease to feel shock and sadness when I watch Seeing Red.

I lover her song that she sings in "Once More With Feeling." I bought the soundtrack and listened to her song over and over. It is just so pretty.

Very pretty, and also overtly sexual.

How could I forget. Nice and subtle but yet wonderful. And Dawns line about Tara and Willow must be mentioned. "Like Tara. She and Willow are both witches. They do spells and stuff, which is so much cooler than slaying. I told Mom one time I wish they'd teach me some of the things they do together. And then she got really quiet and made me go upstairs. Huh, I guess her generation isn't cool with witchcraft." 😀

And one more quote I love. So true. 😉 "I went on the internet once, but everyone's spelling was really bad, it was depressing."

I loved that Tara and Willow acted as Dawn's parents while Buffy was dead. Adorable.

I have a soft spot for girl/girl relationships, and Tillow isn't much different; so, I love Tara. I didn't like her at first -- she was very meek. But over the few seasons she was in, it definitely seemed like Tara grew into herself and became an itsy bit more confident.

Tara is so caring and sweet. I rarely meet someone that don't like her. 🙂

I like her relationship with Willow(Duh, of course). And I agree, she's like Dawn's mom in season 6. 🙂 I also like her friendship with Buffy. I think she is Willow's or Xander's girlfriend/boyfriend that close to Buffy the most. I like their exchange in Triangle, The Body and Dead Thing. 🙂

In Dead Things, why do you think Buffy chose to confide in Tara and ask her to do some research on her resurrection, as opposed to Willow? I never got the impression that Buffy and Tara were close.

The only reason I can think of is that Buffy didn't want to talk to Willow about the resurrection, seeing as it was a sensitive subject and Buffy wasn't entirely too happy about being brought back.

Yeah, I know Buffy didn't want to talk to Willow about it, but the scene that Tara comforted her when she broke down crying was touching. I think Buffy and Tara were close in some level. I'm sure Tara could have been one of her best friends if she didn't got shot by Warren.

Tara isn't one of my favourite characters, I've always been a bit indifferent to her I suppose. But I do think a lot of that lies in the fact the first three seasons are my favourite. I've never disliked her though.

And, I only really like her, when she's not with Willow, as in, not in a relationship with her. When we see Tara when she is single, I find that there is something so empowering about her. She is so independent and strong and I really feel like she is overshadowed by Willow when they are together.

The way she helps Buffy out in her hour of need is so admirable, and like others have said, I loved her relationship with Dawn. I think she was a hugely positive influence on Dawn, and she might not have become as likeable without Tara's influence.

I really liked her in s6, her best season. When she came out of her shell more, i liked seeing her take charge with Willow and defending her against Anya.

Tara isn't one of my favourite characters either, i do really like her character though, she was really sweet, and i liked how Buffy told her about her relationship with spike, i liked her in s6 the best. Especially when she sticks up for willow! I was like 'YO GO GIRL' ,HA.
I also love her voice in OMWF 🙂

Totally agree. She had the best voice in omwf.
I always thought Tara was the sweetie of the group. Very rarely did she not make me go 'Aww, Tara!' even when she was being lioness defendery over Willow in season 6. And while she didn't have many great one-liners like the others did her humour seemed to be more with her reactions to what OTHERS said, you know what i mean? As though she was silently going 'Okay....maybe we should move on'.

But while she isn't my favoritist of favorite town character, she is the only one that I never had a problem with. She never caused me to growl at the screen in annoyance and it's always nice to have one character whose even minded no matter what. I mean the only thing I can recall where you winced a little was her spell in Family...

I like that one. It surprises me though that Joyce would be a homophobe. I mean I'd understand that she'd be surprised that Dawn said that, still, no need to send her to her room like that. I'm disappointed with Joyce.

I don't really think her comment was homophobic -- I think if Dawn had said anything sexually misconstruing at all (gay or otherwise,) Joyce may have reacted similarly. ;D

I personaly dont think she was being homophobic at all. it was a reaction of supprise at hearing something from her youngest daughter. joice was obvisly not homophobic, she was there for willow a lot.

First of all, the comment can have been homophobic even though Joyce didn't at all dislike Willow. I don't think that joke would have been made about a heterosexual couple, for some reason it wouldn't have been as fun (maybe 'cause you're not supposed to know exactly what two girls do in bed?).

But yeah, I know the comment is just funny and I'm not being super serious, I just think she made a bad parenting choice for sending Dawn to her room for something like that 😛

Yeah but Willow and Tara and Joyce were never seen in a scene together, were they? I love Joyce's death ep where Buffy slays the vamp that attacked Dawn in the morgue. Just had to say that!

Although I'ma die hard Willow/Oz fan, I did grow to like Tara. I cried in Villians and Grave. It was so sad that she died.

I really like how Buffy confided in Tara at the end of Dead Things. I cried then too haha
