All Time Favorite Relationship

Spuffy. There's no question. Like others have said... amazing, passionate, fiery, real... I could go on and on.

It's also only the second ship in any series that's captured my interest enough to get involved in the fandom.

Completely agree, especially with your 2nd sentence. Curious...what was your first? :)

Yes, what was your first? :)
Hard Question lol, I Like Almost All The Couples 😀

I Choose - Cangel 😀

Cangel for me too. One word I'd use to describe it is.......natural. It really was excellently written and because of that it just felt 'right'. I'll never forgive Joss though over the Season 3 finale. 😛

Xanya is runner up. I liked the fact that there wasn't constant drama about their relationship. Yes, Anya caused drama due to her trying to adapt to being human, but what I meant is that you just knew that they were always in love. That was refreshing to me on this show! 😛

Bangel. They are the reason I watched the show and the reason I'm still interested now.

Yep.
None; but if I had to choose a favorite relationship it would have to be Angel and Lindsey. They really were perfect great together.

StarSlayer agrees: I'll never forgive Joss for the Cordy/Connor thing

I'm in the process of collecting the Buffy Series. Once I start on Angel though, I can see myself 'forgetting' to acquire Season 4. 😉 😛

Even if you hate S4, there's still some absolute diamonds in it - even if it's just for the 3 episode Faith arc :)

Lol, but agreed with BDH. The Faith arc in s4 is great. :)
I think my favorite couple hasn't been mentioned yet: Giles/Jenny...or Genny...or just G/J. Man, I loved them! I remember how Buffy called Xanya her "light at the end of the tunnel" and all I could think about was how cool it would have been to have Jenny live and her Giles stay together; that these 2 adults were able to meet under all the chaos of the Hellmouth and have a life together.

I think the reason I love them so much is that it was written so well and felt real, never forced. Plus, Anthony Head and Robia LaMorte's chemistry was so tangible and fun to watch! I love how Giles used to be a scared and bored young man in college, so he turned into a badass, but then gets in so deep over his head with Eyghon that he does a 180 into the "sexy fuddy-duddy" we see in the beginning of the show. Really imagine the kind of life he had to live to get him from "ticking time bomb hates the world" guy to Mr. Bookworm. He comes to Sunnydale to tend to his charge as watcher. You can tell he's devoted his life to being a watcher and fulfilling his destiny so much that he probably gave up on having much of a personal life or finding someone that would be ok with a man who lives such a lifestyle. He is so "by the books" when we meet him; and then he meets Jenny who was able to get under his skin and break him free from his monotonous life as a watcher.

And I wish we knew more about Jenny's upbringing! What we do know is that she was raised by a gypsy family, and that at some point got into computers and was tasked with watching Angel. For all we know she had always fought with breaking away from her family and her duties to them (her sass would allow us to believe this is a possibility) and computers and technology gave her that outlet from tradition; but when she was tasked with the burden of watching Angel, she (much like Giles) owned up to her destiny to fulfill her duty to her family. Regardless of how she got there, she too was coming to Sunnydale out of duty, for the sake of others, not for love.

So when they do meet and fall in love, it's even more unexpected and beautiful. Both had their minds set on their task at hand, but they found each other: someone that knew what living on the hellmouth meant, someone that challenged them, knew their history and past and still wanted to be with one another.

What I love most about their relationship was that it was messy. His past came up to haunt them as well as hers. It wasn't simple. With both of them having such colorful lives leading them to Sunnydale, it was rewarding to watch them reconcile their pasts with themselves - and each other.

Another big thing about their relationship I loved was that Jenny loved Giles as the fuddy-duddy he was, not Ripper-Giles. The only other women Giles had relations with in the show were involved with him based on his Ripper-ness: Joyce when they were teenagers and Giles was essentially his Ripper alter ego; and it's obvious that his relationship with Olivia wasn't much more than 2 people reigniting an old flame: as soon as she found out about his life in the occult, she bolted. Jenny did back out and get her own space after Eyghon but she came back to Giles within a month, and was even apologetic about being so harsh to him.

With all that said, I reiterate that I would have loved for them to have stayed together through the series and be the "light at the end of the tunnel" as a little reminder that yes, in the life of demons and vampires, you may have to make sacrifices and be alone dedicated to your duty, but that doesn't mean you'll be alone forever.

Told you all I would gush :3

Giles/Jenny!!!!! <3
Wes and Angel 🙂
I knew I loved them from the moment I saw them together then when Angel put on that pink helmet and hopped on that bike I was sold for good.

Just kidding but these two shows it is so hard to choose because I love everyone so much.
So if I have to choose Spuffy with Woz in a close second.
Then for Angel Cangel of course they are just so wonderful and beautiful aw I love them. I would maybe even say I love them the most. For a second on Angel Wes and Fred it made me so happy to see Wes so happy.

I love your banner! Spike and Eric karma (I'm just getting into TVD) :D
In the Buffyverse, it's clearly Tillow, followed by Spuffy with not *that* much distance.

If we take the entire Whedonverse, Kaymon tops both, though... their characters and the ship dynamic resonates too strongly with InsaneShempy for even Tillow to beat them. 🙂

Btvs: Tillow.
Ats: Cangel.

They feel most natural to me. I know a lot of people disagree with Cangel but they're just blind. 😉 Ok, no. But feelings evolving as people evolve is forced while relationships that start with stalking, obsession and using each other is the way to go? Not for me. Lets agree to disagree.

I think that Woz is a great relationship but it just doesn't beat Tillow for me. Maybe because Tara feel more personal to me. More like me while Oz is as I wanted to be.

In the Buffyverse, it's clearly Tillow, followed by Spuffy with not *that* much distance.

Influenced in any way by the Bangel disgust?

nope, my love of those two ships has no direct connection to do with hating the Ship From Hell. :)

Tillow AND Cangel karma!! :D
For me it would be Spuffy, purely because it's got so much development throughout the entire series and was therefore the most interesting to me. Tillow is a very close second as it was just very sweet.
