Woooo - a - ooooooooh! I gotta say it looks gorgeous! the Amy Acker is adorable... and the SMG makes her look quite different but in a better way or sth... looks sureal... I like it! :silly:

Hehe, thanks! :) I prefer to work on large pics for colourise, and the SMG one was very small, so made it harder to colourise well! That's my excuse anyway 'lol' ;)

Wow, 2 months since I updated this thread! I have made some new pieces, but can't show them here as they are not Whedonverse ones.

I have, however, just finished making this piece. I used quite an old image of Alyson Hannigan, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's a season 4 promo?

Transparency, layering in Photoshop is not my thing, but you make me want to give it a shot...

Aww, thanks - that's really flattering coming from you! :D I wouldn't even begin to attempt what you make look so easy with your artwork!
I actually didn't use that many brushes - only the text ones, the rest of the background was made up of 3 stock images, and then loads of textures, and gradients - think I had over 30 layers at one point 'lol'

But if you do mean the text/print style brushes, they were from Jigsaw Puzzle.

Textures were my own as I recently made some new ones, and the stock images were from http://sxc.hu
 
Thanks AV! 😀 Yeah, my backgrounds are usually just loads of layers of textures & stock images, with some brushes & gradients etc added. 🙂

I have also just done a really, and I mean REALLY quick tutorial for colourising. It's not fantastic, and there are probably much better and quicker ways of colourising but it might be of use to someone who has never colourised before. 🙂
