Aye! My name is Savannah and I am a somewhat recent fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

I always feel really bad saying that because I know sometimes fans of things don't count you as a real fan unless you liked the thing from the very begining. But I have a good reason for never watching Buffy until about a month ago. It's because my family is religious and I had never been exposed nor allowed to have anything to do with it.

My Social Studies teacher Mr. Goddard showed us Once More, With Feeling in class once and I thought it was amusing. It took me around six months to actually go and watch the ep again and appreciate the full world of Buffy. Now I'm on the third season and have seen some episodes of the sixth and Something Blue from the fourth. I love the show and consider myself a dedicated fan.

I am seriously in love with Spike, but I don't need to talk about that here 🙂

Me and my friends are actually a lot like some of the girls in the Scooby gang. It's kind of funny actually. My friend Tiffany-Ella is so much like Willow, my friend Emily is a Tara duplicate and my friend Allyse is totally Anya. Not to mention my friend Alex is SO Faith.

So anyways, I wanna get to know you guys. So just say hi, please. Make me feel welcome into the Buffyverse.

He's my favorite fictional character of all time and by far my favorite of the Buffyverse. And I kind of really adore how you compare your friends to the Scoobies! =]

Welcome to the boards! In my eyes it doesn't matter when or how you started watching Buffy - if you got appreciation and love - you got awesome!

Your social studies teacher is clearly epically cool. I had an English teacher in high school that I always used to talk Buffy with - he even had a huge poster up in his room. We talked about it heaps... Well until Smashed... Then the conversation became a little more taboo!

There are plenty of Spike fans around these parts, so you should feel more than comfortable here.

We have something in common. "Once More With Feeling" was the first episode of "Buffy" that I saw, too, and, while I've never "fallen in love" with Spike, I am convinced that Buffy is the goal that Spike has been heading for since the day that he was born. The first time that I saw Buffy and Angel together in one of the syndicated early episodes, I thought (and still do every time that I see them together) "Who's the big clod messin' around with Spike's girl?"

You might consider taking part in the Adopt-A-Bangel program here. There are so many poor deluded Bangels here just waiting to be led into the light. Spuffies have a mission, no, an obligation, to help those poor unfortunates. Remember, "Friends don't let friends ship Bangel."

Anyhow, welcome aboard. There are some really great folks here, and they're well worth knowing.

Just because you started watching the show recently doesn't make you any less a fan either. The only thing i'd be disappointed if i was you was that you weren't watching when the show was still airing and had a buzz surrounding it but that's a personal thing, no one's got anything against you unless they are an idiot.

More amazing than you can imagine. Back when I was in college, I just happened to male an offhand remark once that Odysseus and Ajax were the Batman and Superman of the "Iliad," and I thought our instructor was going into apoplexy. Now, I could write my masters' thesis on the subject. Movies, TV, and even comic books are (finally) recognized as legitimate literature mow, instead of what illiterates did instead of read.
