Alternate Realities

Alternate realities have been explored both on Buffy (The Wish) and on Angel (Birthday). So here's my question:

What's your "what if..." If you could follow any alternate reality for the characters (or just one character) in the Buffyverse, what descision/event would be changed? How would it pan out?

I think I would've explored a Giles/ Joyce relationship a bit. I think that would've been interesting. Or, I know this sounds crazy, but I always wondered what it would've been like for one of Riley's Vamp tramps to drink just a little too long. Y'know- turn Riley. Don't get me wrong, I like Riley! But I think that would've been kinda cool. Plus, MB as a vamp....yummy!
 
I would have had buffy start witchcraft when willow did and then become as powerful as willow because then she'd be like willow and unsoppable!!! lol
 
Gunn is too late to prevent Fred from killing Prof. Seidel. Fred now has blood on her hands. My inner pyschologist would have loved to see that development
 
For me, or course, Tara's fate. I would have her not die or be brought back some way. While I was happy that Willow met Kennedy and had someone to be with, I always felt Tara was her soulmate. Tara could have helped Willow control her magic and guide her to using only white magic.
 
Buffy winding up with Xander in the end. I think they would have done well together, especially with their friendship as a strong foundation. They always had great chemistry in my eyes and I loved how they really got back to their closeness in Season 7...and Xander's speech to the potentials brought tears to my eyes.
 
Angel not loosing his soul and Buffy and him living happily ever after....occassionally fighting demons and saving the world!!
 
Dawn diving into the portal at the end of the gift.

Buffy is dealing with feelings of intense guilt, and freezing up because of self-doubt. Meanwhile, the Key has re-formed itself as Dawn, but with no memory of anything (like Cordy in Angel S4).
 
Buffy going to Northwestern. I just want to see where that would have taken her.

Also if that couldn't have happened, I would have wanted to see what the Buffyverse would have been like if Buffy (in many occasions) or Riley(in "Into the Woods) would have staked Spike. Who would Buffy have sneaked around with in Season 6 or would Angel have worn the amulet in Chosen?
 
Cordelia not moving to L.A. and going to U.C. Sunnydale. I bet her and Anya would be funny together.

Or maybe Riley being turned in S5 when he was going to the Vamp Hoe House.
 
Cordelia - Did you watch Into the Woods last night too?

I personally would have loved Cordelia to goto UC Sunnydale or any of those nice schools she was accepted to (though Cordelia getting into Duke and Columbia? Hmm, odd).

And I would think her and Anya would be somewhat of rivals for Xander's affection. Ah how I missed my Cander.
 
Speaking of colleges, thought it'd be interesting to see Willow go to one of the Ivy Leagues she was accepted in at the start of S4 and leaving because she misses her friends so much, sounds kind of contrived but could be done well.

Cordelia was very smart. She was just common sensically challenged at times, but obviously that changed as the 'verse went on.

Didn't watch Into the Woods recently...watching S2 again now...up to Inca Mummy Girl 🙂 :woot:
 
Cordelia and Angel staying in Sunnydale for the rest of the show but still adding all the charecters we have seen(IE: Riley,Dawn etc..)
And I think had Angel stayed, he and Buffy probably wouldve done it in Season6 and we wouldve dealt with Angelus Season6-part of 7.


MissCalender surviving Season2 through Season7(have to admit it would be intresting to see where Joss wouldve taken her and what kind of role she wouldve taken)

Buffy staying in LA and never moving to Sunnyhell(and well possiably meeting up with Gunn,Lorne, WolfermanHart etc..)

I agree. I always disliked that Giles didn't have any serious romantic involvements after Miss Calender. However I think that Angellus has to kill someone of some importance. So who would take her place. I think it would have been interesting if he had killed Joyce.
 
The only problem with that is that they could not justify a reunion between Buffy and Angel if he'd killed Joyce as Angelus. I don't care how forgiving Buffy could be, she'd never be that forgiving. And Angelus would be dead in minutes.

That is a good point, I hadn't thought of that, but he would need to kill someone, maybe Cordelia, it would increase the animosity for Xander which would be interesting.
Went to rep you, but it wouldn't let me. You're so right jacks...I've been rewatching S2 lately so it's all fresh in my mind...Buffy was more eager to forgive Angel for Ms. Calendar because she wasn't on good terms with her anyways right before she was killed.
