Would anybody else like to see season 8 made into another format such as a novel or an animated series? While I really enjoy the comics I think it would be interesting to see how they would be interpereted on screen or in written word.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, I couldn't find anything on it and I've been inactive on here for a very long time.

I would love to see Season 8, or beyond, but especially the lost 12 to 18 "lost" months between the end of "Chosen" and the beginning of Season 8 presented in any format, but only if the quality and level of maturity were kept at the standards of the original shows. None of the current non-canon novelizations that I have read or attempted to read have, in my opinion, came close to matching what Joss and his people have created, either on the show or in the Season 8 series. (I'm sure that I'm gonna get jumped on royally for saying that)

i wouldn't
i think what they've done so far is great, and maybe putting it on the T.V would spoil it a little...
sorry if that offends some people but thats my opinion

I love the comics becuase you know what happening in the pictures
and you just imagen its the TV show 😀 im lame lol

I really don't like the comics. It's not the story I don't like, it's the fact that it's Buffy, but a comic.

To set the record straight, I am an avid comic book fan, and have been for a few years now (I know, I'm a late bloomer). I have read my way through some of the classics, from Allan Moore and Frank Miller, and have been reading some new stuff too. I thoroughly enjoy the comic format, more than most other mediums of story telling. And yet I can't get into the Buffy comics. I think that it's the dialogue. It doesn't feel as clever on paper as it does on screen, it feels to scripted, less spur of the moment.

Additionally, I like the actors too much to let go, and while the art in the comic is very good, they still look a different enough from their real life counterparts that it bothers me. I know, I know, I'm picky, but I know how I like my Buffy, and the comics aren't it.

So I would be totally supportive of a new format, perhaps a book, possibly a show (Joss could put togther an animated web show like Doctor Horrible, maybe?). It's just a thought, I don't see it ever happening though.
