I really like them both. I think the Willow role was harder to do because there were more emotions and feelings portrayed. The last HIMYM episode was the first time that we see Lily really cry. Other times its in a joking way. Aly is amazing at crying.

Oh, yes. She's amazing.
It's really strange. Normally, I never cry while watching a sad movie. Never.
But somehow Alyson can change that.
For example in BtVS Season 2 "Passion". I'm... let's say not the biggest Jenny fan. When Angel killed her there was maybe a bit of shock or something. But when Willow started crying it was just different.

Yeah, same here, I was already upset with Buffy crying but when Willow started crying as well, I was crying like hell!
Only just started watching HIMYM, I just finished watching How Lily Stole Christmas, and I love Lily apart from
when she left Marshall to do that art course in San Francisco.

Occasionally I think, "Hey! She sounds like Willow!", I love both characters but she'll always be Willow to me.
