Alyson Hannigan on Veronica Mars

Unconfirmed informations from Televisionwithoutpity.com :

violet4120 : "Fabrisse, do you know who it is? One of your earlier posts alluded that your sister had told you...please tell us! I don't think I can wait until Wednesday to find out."

Fabrisse : "Definitely Alyson Hannigan. And the dailies look really good."

Sepia : "What's are dailies?"

Fabrisse : "They're the raw footage of the day's shooting. They get downloaded into the computer (these days, this used to be done by hand on a negative) and have their sound synchronised with the movement and stuff. Then the editors select the best line readings or shots that give background information to the viewer and using the script puts together the rough cut (some directors get very involved at this stage, but it's less common in TV). After that the director and the editor go over it and change things as necessary to fit the director's vision. After that the producers get to suggest changes, and then the network makes its requests before the final cut is produced. The whole process takes a couple of weeks on top of the filming time.

The last stage to put this all back to film and copy it for distribution and feed in the process called "on-lining." Bear in mind that I'm not the person in the family who's in the editing suite. *g*"

I don't know the airdate for her episode.

See, It'd be nice if she was, but there's also the information circulating about her being on a new sitcom with Ed O'Neill and Jennifer Love Hewitt (see I refrained myself). I've seen them talking about possibilities for Charisma or Emma as well. It seems that most people seem to think this new cast member is a former Scoob.

That chick from E! said it was a former cast member of Buffy 😉

The article I saw she said that they were from a cult hit and were 'magical', she never came out and said it was someone from Buffy. Unless you are talking about a different article.

This rumor has been circulating for a few days now, but there has been no official confirmation on who it is.

What I raed was "an actress whose show has been the most talked about here [Watch with Whatsherface] in the last few years"

She said magical and from a talked about show. I wasn't a fan of buffy when Kristin wrote about the show so I wouldn't know if that was the most she talked about but it has to be Alyson Hannigan because she knows us from the Jossverse read her articles the most

A couple of different characters qualify as magical though.

It could be Tara, Willow or Amy.

Also possibly Cordy as she was seen last dabbling with the magicks in S4 🙂

The girl who played Amy isn't a huge star. It could be Amber. I doubt Charisma because isn't she on Charmed? And besides she's getting too old to play the sister unless the sister is supposed to be alot older.

'Buffy' Star Shines on 'Veronica Mars'
(Wednesday, January 19 11:00 AM)
By Kate O'Hare
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) On Tuesday, Feb. 22, former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Alyson Hannigan leaves demon-infested Sunnydale behind for the mystery-filled seaside town of Neptune, when she makes a guest appearance on the UPN Tuesday-night cult hit "Veronica Mars." She's currently scheduled for one episode, with a possibility of the role becoming recurring.

Hannigan plays Trina Echolls, the struggling-actress daughter of town resident and movie star Aaron Echolls (Harry Hamlin), and stepdaughter of his wife, Lynn (Lisa Rinna, Hamlin's real-life spouse). This makes Trina the half-sister of Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring), the high-school foe of teen sleuth Veronica (Kristen Bell).

In "Russkie Business," Trina, who was a no-show at
the memorial service for Lynn (who apparently committed suicide by jumping off a bridge) suddenly appears, raising new questions about what exactly happened to her stepmother.
"It's a pretty dramatic episode," Dohring says. "A lot of heavy stuff happens."

On "Buffy," Hannigan's character, Willow Rosenberg, went from gawky computer nerd to powerful lesbian witch, and that versatility serves her well on "Veronica Mars."

"Originally," Dohring says, "they didn't have her being snippy, but it's cool for Alyson to have a bit of an edge. It's a good match for me, because I'm snippy on the show. She inherited half of it, I caught the whole thing."

The appearance of Trina is part of a larger story in which Logan questions his mother's fate.

"He's trying to find his mom,"
Dohring says. "We don't know what happened. In future episodes, he may enlist Veronica's help."

Yippe! I can't wait for Alyson on Veronica Mars! That show is great and Alyson can bring a lot to the show and her role.

I am so into this new Aly thing... I work Tuesday nights during the show so I've never watched it before, but I am DEFINITELY setting the VCR this time 😀
