Alyson Hannigan to "guest star" on The Simpsons

Alyson Hannigan recently tweeted that she would voice a character on The Simpsons and now the details of her character have been revealed.

When Principal Skinner becomes romantically interested in Lisa's substitute music teacher, the prince sets up Bart as a distraction for her zany daughter "” Hannigan (voiced by"¦ you guessed it, Alyson Hannigan). The "Flaming Moe" episode also features Moe and Smithers turning the bar into a gay bar for non-hunks. The episode will air next year.

I already watched the episode "Elementary School Musical", but no Aly...

But I read that she dubbed the "substitute teacher's daughter" whose name is Hannigan. (Who'd have thought?😀)
The plot has something to do with Principal Skinner falling in love with the substitute teacher. But that's all I know.

Yeah, some information sure is wrong. "Elementary School Musical" has some of the cast of Glee, Flight of the Conchords as the main guest stars and Stephen Hawking and Ira Glass in small roles.

Well, whoever wrote the article I read, they were wrong.

According to this page the name of Alyson's character is "Melody".

The episode Flaming Moe will air on Sunday January 16, 2011 on Fox.

So, the episode aired yesterday in the US.
I watched it today. It's pretty cool, although I'm no Simpsons fan.
Alyson didn't say that much, but it was really cool to hear her voice in a cartoon series that huge.🙂
