Am I the only one that loved Kendra's character?

Maybe it's just me..but I really loved her character..even thought she was on the show for like 3 episodes..I don't know what it was about her..but I think it was her innocence..and she was an amazing fighter..she had so much potential..and I think her and Buffy would have made an amazing team..plus I found the whole "no" family thing to be pretty depressing..I think Buffy could have taught her a lot of things..and the other way around..she was just a sweet girl..and I just loved that about her.
 
I think Kendra had an interesting personality, I mean...she was curious and I loved her voice. She had so little air time and I think she should have had more time to express her thoughts and feelings towards everything. Her character in general was neat, and something I definitely would of loved to explore a bit more...but that didn't work out, unfortunately. She was a Slayer, and I think that Buffy and Kendra would have been able to become great friends...
 
I liked Kendra's character, but I'm kind of glad she died off so early. I think it was good for the show to show how short a slayer's lifespan can be, no matter how careful she is.

^ i agree. i liked her & it was good to show the difference, to show how lucky buffy is to still have her family & friends & at that time, even angel. kendra had nobody. i was sad when she died in becoming, but if she hadn't then there would be no faith.
 
Kendra is an amazing character, with much development ahead of her, but I'm glad she died. The reason for that being Faith Lehane was activated as the following, thus having an awesome Slayer at our hands. Her plot, and her character was much more interesting than Kendra Young. It would have been nice to see Kendra have a bigger character though.

I mean, she was important, but at the sametime she didn't really effect the plot. Buffy didn't neccesarily care about Kendra dying...not really. I just wish we saw her a bit more but then again, Faith is more interesting. And heck, Rogue Slayers rock.
 
I liked Kendra a lot as well, she was a good character but I'm glad she was short - lived because I think Faith was much more interesting and could be developed a lot more.
 
I loved Kendra! .. the whole accent thing was awesome... but I am glad Faith came in.... but Kendra was awesome.... and she had some kewl fighting skills 🙂
 
i liked kendra.. but her role wasn't really good... she died so soon. but let's think positively.. if a slayer dies, another one is called!!! faithhhh =)
 
you know i never really liked Faith even when she was on the good side. I like Kendra so much better and i iwish that they'd kept her around much longer but like someone else said. It was good to kill her off so soon because it just shows how a slayer can be killed even it=f they are as careful as Kendra was.

i was never big on faith either
Kendra was perfect.
She was everything a Slayer was supposed to be which is why its perfect that she dies a year into her time as a Slayer, because that just shows you that although Buffy may be an anomoly in the Slaying field, with odd tactics and 'civilian' back-up, her way is far more reliable.

Kendra, love and would have liked to have seen her as the First sometime, but she had a super few epsiodes on the show.
 
I liked her character better in Becoming than in What's My Line. She seemed to have loosened up a bit between the two episodes. She was a good character, and it was good to see the perfect slayer in contrast to Buffy and then later to see Faith was totally the oposite 🙂

Did anyone else wonder why Giles never sensed any dark power rising anywhere else other than Sunnydale? I mean Mr. Zabuto, Kendra's watcher sensed stuff, that's why he sent Kendra 🙂
 
Truthfully, I have not seen the episodes in which Kendra appears. But I've heard many good things about her around the Buffyverse, she seems very likeable and indeed like "the perfect slayer". I look forward to watching these episodes at some point...

Sorry i did mean kendra, dont kno where kennedy came from cos i didnt even really like her lol

aren't we talking about kendra in this thread? or did you mean kendra?
I really liked Kendra too, I thought that they killed her off in such a sucky way..they could at least of let her die in battle or something, instead she died by getting her throat cut by Dru's fingernail.
 
I have always found the idea that Buffy was a better slayer than Kendra rather ludicrous. I believe that neither is better than the other. Each simply had their own way of being a vampire slayer. Breaking the rules may have suited Buffy, but I do believe that Kendra was better off adhering to the rules. Why? Because she seemed to be a more effective slayer. Adhering to Buffy's style only got her killed.
