Am I the only one that loved Kendra's character?

I have always found the idea that Buffy was a better slayer than Kendra rather ludicrous.

Why?
The point was that Buffy was nothing like what a Slayer was supposed to be. She is considered to be one of the most successful, if not THE most successful because of how she works. Kendra is the tried and tested Slayer and dies within a year of activation.

Yeah, you could argue though, that perhaps Kendra died because she took onboard the lessons Buffy tried to teach her.

There wasn't really much evidence of that. Not enough to give a coherent argument though. I mean its possible that she tried to incorporate them and it got her killed, BUT throughout the show we are told Buffy was successful and that it was very rare for previous Slayers to live Long.
Nikki Wood, she seems to support the Buffy theory because she had a tie to the world and appeared to live a bit longer than normal.

I liked how she died. It was original, but yes i would have prefered to see her die in a fight. Expecially because we didnt really get to see Drusilla fight in season 2.

when you like how someone dies, it doesnt mean you dont like them. you can hate the fact that someone dies because you like them, but still enjoy their actual death. if the death is well played and brings out a lot of emotion from the audience it is a good death. for instance, joyce's death had a whole episode showing the cold harsh realities of death. it was unique; it had no background music and no real "plot" with buffy fighting demons, other then that one vampire. i liked joyce, but hers was a "good death". tara's was a good death because (to some, but not all) it was a shock, it made everyone very sad, and it became a big turning point in willow's life. i liked tara even more than joyce, but it was still a good death. if some vampire had just come along and bit her, and that had been the end of it, it would not have been as good.

i think that kendra's death, as those have said before me, could have been much better. being scratched and then dying is kind of lame.

I know that... it's just that there is no "good way" to die. Btvs/Angel death was all well written and ended up good, but it's death all the same.

I Just Liked Her. She Was Ace! Loved The Fact That Buffy Kept Hold Of Mr Pointy After She Died. I Think Her Death Was Just Right. Dru Doesnt Fight Shes Nuts And Off This Planet So Yes A Totalfruitcake Way Of Killing Someone Is The Perfect Way For Her To Off Kendra. Ok I Wish She Could Of Been Around A Bit Longer Coz Early Faith I Didnt Really Like But It Was A Good Death For The Characters Involved.

I have just been watching season 2, again, and I actually really like Kendra. She isn't the most interesting character ever, and I wouldn't have wanted her to be a main character or anything, but I like her in the episodes she's in. Mhm.
