Am I the only one who hated the Scoobies past high school?

Am I the only one who hated the Scoobies once they graduated high school? They became arrogant, selfish, obnoxious, annoying once they graduated high school imo.

I always had prefered The Fang Gang in "Angel". They were much more of a group than the Scoobies post season 5 if I'm being honest.

The Scoobies were too immature for my taste. They still behaved like they were in high school. They never grew up. They only did when it was an End of the World Apocalypse episode like in The Gift or in the season 6 finale episodes.

I mean The Fang Gang weren't the best of friends in most of the series but they always over came their differences and arguments when it came to defending the Innocents. The Scooby Gang it was all about survivial of the fitest.

I mean look at Season 7. They literally kick Buffy out of her own freaking house for God's sake. I mean yeah Wesley attempted to kill Gunn and Angel attempted to kill Wesley.

But they over came that in season 5. Has Willow, Xander and Buffy ever really talked to each other one on one after the Dark Willow event?

No, I like them just as much. I think the fact that Willow and Xander still want to hang out with Buffy and help her out, despite how she continues to treat them and how ridiculously stressful and dangerous it is, shows how awesome and incredible they are. They do it because they love Buffy and because it's the right thing to do, no guilty conscience, no redemption to seek, no money involved. It's pretty amazing.

Dawn kicks Buffy out, not Scoobies, it's her house too and anyway, they are completely right to do it. Buffy acts in an irrational way and for all intents and purposes is trying to get them all killed. Buffy's basically a raging lunatic in "Empty Places", she leaves them no choice.

Arrogant, obnoxious, annoying - OK, personally, I don't have a problem with that, I mean, they are human beings, right? But...when did Xander and Willow get selfish?Please provide some examples.

Has Willow, Xander and Buffy ever really talked to each other one on one after the Dark Willow event?

They have, in "Same Time, Same Place" and in "Help" for example. But yeah, I was hoping for an entire episode consisting of Willow and Buffy screaming at each other for 40 minutes, crying, maybe actually talking too and nothing else. I'd find it more interesting than most of the season.

Personally I love them just the same, if not more. And really, they are just 22ish by the time the series end, I don't think they were immature for their age at all. EVIL UU already covered pretty much everything else I wanted to say.

I actually love them more (well, except for Willow). I love the way they grow and change as the series goes on.

I prefer them post- High School. Buffy in S4 and S5 seems to put more thought into things (that's not to say that she doesn't have moments of stupidity), Willow advances into magic and I love Tara and Anya. Giles gets an identity beyond 'watcher'.

I still love Willow and Xander in the later seasons, yet Buffy's character goes absolutely downhill and is utterly unlikeable. I do dislike how regressed Willow is in Season 7- she shouldn't be Buffy's yes-man, she should be herself. She's much more interesting that way.

Even in S6 and S7, I still love Xander and Willow's interactions- the scene in Empty Places- sure, it seems like a recycled version of their scene in Becoming, yet it's quite an emotionally resonant moment and I do deeply sympathise with both of them. Willow and Giles gives us some nice dramatic moments. Tara and Dawn have a nice relationship. Anya's dynamics with everyone still remains fascinating. Yet Buffy is a weakest link in it all, and that for me, brings down the final season greatly.

No I like them post high school, I think Buffy is the most arrogant and makes some very stupid decisions which makes how she treats everyone else very questionable.

I think the second most arrogant is Willow, and I think she had every right to be, she basically became one of the most powerful humans on the planet, as far as we know.

I mean look at Season 7. They literally kick Buffy out of her own freaking house for God's sake.

They didn't though, they had enough of Buffys terrible leadership skills so put someone else in charge and gave Buffy the choice, to help them fight or leave. It's Buffy who can't put her own arrogance aside and fight, she she chooses to leave.

They did get pretty annoying in the latter few seasons. Particularly Buffy and Willow. Buffy's attitude was insufferable, and Willows cutesy way of speaking got old after season 3 (and don't get me started on her in seasons 6 and 7). I never had much of a problem with Xander or Anya, though the writers could have used them better.

Nah, I liked the characters throughout. Heck, it was the characters that made me sit through Seasons 4 and 6 (my least favorite seasons)
