Amazon Prime video or Netflix

I’m currently enjoying the 10 days free on Amazon Prime Video. At the end of the 10 days I will should pay 5,99€ Per months. Netflix cost 10,99€ Per months. What is the best streaming service ? Which one have the large catalogue of series/films ? What advantages there is on Netflix and not on Amazon Prime, or the reverse ?

I have Netflix, but that's more as I've had it since before Prime was available. I've used the Amazon free trial though and they're currently offering me another free trial I'll probably use soon.

@Antho I've got Prime, Netflix and Disney - and rarely watch any. Admittedly I only pay for Prime - I use the lads' accounts for Netflix and Disney (I think). Can't you share an account with someone (while it's still possible)?

Do Netflix deliver parcels containing things I could live without? Until they do their bit to support unnecessary consumerism I'm #Team Prime.

The only thing Netflix delivers is shows they hype up as the next big thing and then cancel after one season.

Both, I have both and Disney+. Prime is great for deliveries too lol.

Prime, but for no other reason than I got a subscription when it was 'one month free' and haven't canceled it since. I only use it when I'm sick and I don't wanna turn on my computer, since I have the app on my phone 🙂

Had Netflix for years and loved it ...but not a huge fan of their original content recently and their back catalogue of old shows was slipping too . So I turned it off for a while , will probably be back to it after the summer .

Prime has got really good for back catalogue shows , have that going at the moment .

Prime is a pain in the ass to use. Some stuff is included, other stuff it wants to charge you more for. All of it mixed together. Does have some good shows though. Recommend The Boys and This Is Us.

For a long time I was more in the Netflix camp. I think some of their original content is very strong, plus their back catalouge has good comedy. But I think the overal catalogue for Amazon is much better and I think their catching up with the standard of their original productions. Amazon Original films are better than Netflix's. Its closer for original series, but Amazon is making strong grounds.

For more niche services, Shudder is good for Horror fans. Also the likes of BFI Player, Mubi or Arrow have plenty for arthouse or cult movies. WWENetwork is great value for wrestling fans. As is New Japan Pro Wrestling's Player.

I use Amazon more because it has better traditional shows like Buffy, The 100, The Walking Dead, Supernatural used to be on there. For movies, Netflix is probably better but it's close. I don't think Netflix has enough traditional shows on it. I just wish one of them would add Charmed 🙁

I got both fairly recently.
So far I've found myself watching a lot more on Netflix and just a few things on Amazon.

But I'm in Sweden. Not sure how much the content differs in different countries.

It won't be. They are moving it to Paramount+ as CBS need subscribers.

I recently had a cable technician activate YouTube on my big screen TV. Oh. My. God. A whole new world has opened up for me! Being able to see all of the music videos and shows I love in high definition on a HUGE screen is the best thing ever. I swear, it's like Christmas for me every day now. I don't have to get up to change DVDs or CDs anymore. I'm so happy. 😁

Uh, no. 😛

It's just that now, it's like the world is at my fingertips. I can just sit on my butt, clutching my remote. And never get up. Plus, having a GREAT sound bar makes everything even better.
