Amazon's "Kindle"

I've seen this thing at Amazon.com, and I was just wondering if anybody here had had any experience with one or knew anyone who had. If it works the way it says it does, it sounds almost too good to be true (unfortunately also, too expensive). Ever since I got my lap top, I've downloaded things from the internet (articles, poetry, short stories, fan fiction, etc. to read later, but this would obviously be easier to carry, and would appear to have a much greater capacity. (I just had a crazy thought: Giles could download all of his demon reference books onto one)

Ah, i've been wondering about it too. Amazon sent me a e-mail saying it was on special but it was still over 300 bucks - it's a little bit steep but then the books are pretty cheap. Has anyone got one? I'd love the opinion of an actual user...
