Amber and Adam Busch (Warren) in new political ads

I guessing the was Amber at the beginning of the first video she was only on for like 4 seconds. Adam was on alot though! The last video was hilarious!

I am a big Obama supporter myself, and I just crack at this.. Shut up, this is funny.
 
Why would they be? McCain supporters in Hollywood don't get work. It's like suicide.

That said, I really despise it when actors/musicians get involved in politics (unless they're running for something). I just want to watch them play fun characters; I don't CARE what their political affiliation is, and it actually kind of ruins stuff for me when they get really outspoken.
 
^Why shouldn't actors and comedians be able to step out of the role that people give them, and talk serious once in a while? I mean, sure there is no real purpose in them letting us know who they vote for, but there is nothing wrong with it

^ I guess my issue is the same issue people are having with that one singer's photo shoot; they're so influential, whether they want to be or not, that just voicing an opinion can sway popular opinion. And they're just people and can be just as flawed in their logic as anyone else, but people will just go, "Well, Tom Cruise says this is the cool thing to be doing!" and not look into it any further.
 
They´re really cute indeed, and Amber... well I´d say 3 seconds tops. :S

And about actors saying thing on political matters... They can do it cause they are people, but with a real voice. It´s lie Live 08, Live Earth, U2, yada-yada. If they believe in something, don´t know why they wouldn´t be allowed to use their powerful voices to try making a better world/country/city...

And the other half of the coin... Maybe all these actors we see in political ads are just working, like actors, to get money or just for the marketing. It´s their work, right?
 
*shrug* Just voicing MY opinion, which seems to be, here as well as out in the "real" world, intensely politically incorrect. I refuse to apologize, however, because I'm just as entitled to my opinion as those who hold the popular opinion. 🙂

I agree. The campaign uses anyone who creates the 'right' image and hits the spot with the 'right' target demographic in the hope that it will sway voters, or, particularly encourage the 'disaffected and disenfranchised youth', who invariably have one of the lowest turnout rates of the electorate. The worry is, (and before I get torched alive, I'm not suggesting Amber and Adam are doing this intentionally, I'm sure they have the right moral principle.... as noted, it 'ain't McCain!) that the glitz and gloss of the campains, combined with the desire to be like their favourite celebrities, be they musicians, actors, sports stars, whoever, will result in an uninformed or uninterested voter choosing a party based on style, not substance. Call me a cynic, but if you get offered some cash for 'expenses' and the politics broadly match your own opinions, probably the last thing you will think of is 'oh, I wonder if lots of young people will vote JUST BECAUSE I said it was the right thing to do.'


Just to illustrate, for some bizzare reason I was perusing the Brownies and Girl Guides website the other day (no, not in a pervy way - to see when my children could start!!!) and their research showed 42% of girls get their opinions from celebrities, with Victoria Beckham, Leona Lewis, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse the most influential of the lot. God help us all.

Didn´t know people was so brainless to vote for a politician that a drunk singer says to. Oh my...
