I'm feeling a little bit of this going on...😛
I really don't see how you can honestly want this movie to be better than the show, at all.
And for those of you who are getting annoyed with people not wanting the movie to be made, just chill out. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. Some people, like myself, aren't very receptive to change and like things to be familiar to them. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just personal preference.
You really don't see?
Just because a TV show was good, doesn't mean I want the movie to be worse - in fact I want a movie to be better so I enjoy it.
I think its quite childish of alot of members here to be so against something that is in its earliest of development stages just because its not going to be the exact story you want told by the exact man.
People really need to get it into their heads that Joss Whedon doesn't want to make a Buffyverse movie.
They potentially have an option coming up soon, watch it or don't, one shows a maturity to judge someone by its own standards and the other shows a childish 'throwing the toys out of the pram' mentality that is becoming very evident from some corners of this very site.
I find it amusing that you are telling the people to chill out when in essence it seems to be the ones who don't want this movie to be made that need to 'chill out'.

Friendly Lurker disagrees: You need to get it into your head that disagreeing with you doesn't mean someone's childish or laughable. I don't understand your fixation with this new movie at all. What's so wrong about people disliking it?
No, it doesn't - its what people say that makes it laughable.

Go read the other threads dedicated to this topic and read how irate people are getting at the prospect of this movie.
Andrew Crossetts comments spring to mind!
Telling people to 'chill out' because they don't agree with the stance the movie should be made that is laughable when there is far more hate and vitriole being sprouted by the opposing argument.
Jesus H. Christ, you're asking what is so wrong with people disliking it?
I ask the same question but in reverse - what is the problem with people liking it.
