Amends comparison with The Last Temptation of Christ?

So, Joss participated in this article on writer's block, and said:

Watch something. Watch, read, listen"”it fills the creative tanks, reminds us why we wanted to write in the first place, and often, it'll unlock the thing that's missing. That doesn't mean you'll see something and subconsciously steal from it (though it doesn't 100% NOT mean that), it just taps into the creative place a blocked writer can't access. Very often I'll see a movie that'll completely inform what I'm writing, which will bear no resemblance of any kind to that movie. I'll just know how I want to feel when I'm writing it. In order to refresh my memory of just what the story was in "The Last Temptation...," and the episode "Amends," and I feel pretty confident in quoting Buffy when she uttered those famous words, "Get out!" Maybe while Joss was listening to those movie sound tracks, he was also smoking a controlled substance, and that was actually the actual source of his inspiration. Or maybe his meaning is just too deep and intellectual for this ol' country boy to grasp.

LOL, for me I think it's the latter- I'm sure he has something in his head, but I have no idea what. 🙂 Then again, I heard an interview recently where he talks about his idea for Firefly which was the post-civil war era novel The Killer Angels. So he said "Let's make a show about a spaceship!" LOL. You never know what's in the mind of a genius. 😉
