Oh my,

I just watched this episode and it's so very amazing. This is one of my favorite episodes. Just how Angel is ready to kill himself by waiting for the sun the come up, and then it starts snowing and leaving sunnydale sunless for the day. Amazing writing. And Faith seems so good and nice, haha. Anyone love this ep.?

I agree with you completely, This is my fave ep of the whole series.
I do.....i think Buffy is a lil bit of a Bitca in it.....Faith has no one for god sake...how would she feel out in the cold alone.....BUT i adore this and the fact we get to see Robia LaMorte and that it introduces the First Evil....Oz and Willow aswell....this is one i can watch over and over again.....

Most people seem to love this episode but I have never been a huge fan of it to be honest. But it's got many interesting things. Like Jenny as the first. Like the pretty snow, heh. And like the things between Faith and Buffy, it's all so sad. And I always wanted Buffy to stay with her mom and Faith instead of going to Angel, but that's just me. And I guess it's pretty sweet how Faith and Joyce sort of get to chear that snow and Christmas..

I really liked this episode too. I thought it marked a turning point in the Buffy/Angel relationship.

It gave me all these warm fuzzy feelings when I watched it....the emotional aspects and then the snow....it was just a good episode all around. ::tongue::

I loved the scene when Angel went to Giles for help and Giles let him in only after aiming a crossbow at him. I felt for both characters in that scene.

That was a very good scene!!
I heart Faith in this episode. And Buffy's kind of a bitca, yeah, but then again it's season 3 Buffy all consumed by her love for Angel. Poor Faith...

This really isn't one of my favorite episodes. And maybe it's because I am an avid Bangel oppositioner. I've never been able to describe why I don't like it. It could also be the horrible bangs that Buffy is sporting in the ep.... 🙂

I guess it's just a little too 'sappy' for me. I've never been one to feel sorry for Angel because of his past sins. I did like the concept of the First at that point in time.

Amends is my favorite episode of the whole series. And I can't really give an explicit reason why. I just think the writing was wonderful. And its really the first time that we see that Angel has a greater purpose. And the relationships with all the different characters was great. Especially between Giles and Angel, and Xander willing to do something to help Angel. And I love Buffy and Angels speeches at the end, they are so touching. Its a great ep in my book.

The end when Buffy is trying to convince Angel not to kill himself. That get me every time.

Angel: Oh, my God...
Buffy: No! No!
Angel: Am I a thing worth saving, huh? Am I a righteous man? The world wants me gone!
Buffy: What about me? I love you so much... And I tried to make you go away... I killed you and it didn't help And I hate it! I hate that it's so hard... and that you can hurt me so much. I know everything that you did, because you did it to me. Oh, God! I wish that I wished you dead. I don't. I can't.
Angel: Buffy, please. Just this once... let me be strong.
Buffy: Strong is fighting! It's hard, and it's painful, and it's every day. It's what we have to do. And we can do it together. But if you're too much of a coward for that, then burn. If I can't convince you that you belong in this world, then I don't know what can. But do not expect me to watch. And don't expect me to mourn for you, because...

When she says that she I don't...I can't. Man, you talking about tearing up.

i'm with SpikedBuffy on this one...never really liked the ep...being a Bangel oppositioner also!!
it was good ep, well written and acted, but it's just not one of my faves.
but i did like Faith in the ep, and also, for some strange reason, i do like Buffy's bangs!

I wasn't really a fan of this episode either, and I love the relationship between Buffy and Angel, after season 7 it was interesting to go back and rewatch though

I acn't believe you don't like it I mean it wasn't a life changing ep but it was great entertainment.
To me Amends is too sad to watch just as "great entertainment". But not really good enough to see as one of those great and sad episodes (The Body, The Gift, OMWF etc.).. I think that's why I'm not a huge fan of this one. Like it, just not a favourite..

i just love the ending. its one of my favorite endings of all whedonverse episodes

I acn't believe you don't like it I mean it wasn't a life changing ep but it was great entertainment.

You see, not to be mean, but it was only entertaining up to the point where I thought Angel was actually going to bite the dust (literally). But when it turned into the sappy, moping story... I was done for. And that just comes from my weak Bangel stomach.

I appreciate the fact that you are very passionate about the episode! That's good. But in SpikeBuffyland... the episode is 'evil' haha. I crack myself up.

I gotta disagree with you completely, I mean I understand why you are not a fan of it being of the spuffy side of thing, yuck. But we will always oppose each other cus I am a huge ginormous Bangel fan, and I dont know why this is my favorite ep above all others, but I just really thought it was very very good. I love this ep, I mean I know that its not one of those that everyone will remember as one of the great eps, but I love it, it makes me so sad and sappy everytime, and I love eps that so that. I think its a great ep.

When it starts snowing it gets.me.every.time.....away from the tv and into the bathroom to throw up. Seriously? Snow? Never has there been a lamer, cheesier ending to a Buffy episode.
