American Cable TV - The New Stuff

I used to hear about stuff like The Sopranos, Deadwood, The Wire, The Sheild, or Dead Like Me, but I didn't have access to it, because it came out on American Cable, and it wasn't syndicated for the networks where I am until years after it was first released.

Now though, with the advent ot Online TV I can see the new stuff. It's great. Cable so kicks Network ass as far as innovative, edgy television goes.

I just started The Riches last night - great fun.

Does anybody else watch, and have a favorite?

Well, I have only watched one of those, Weeds, and I like that one very much. It's funny, has drama in the right way and great characters.

The only thing cable has over network television that I truly consider a plus is that a season will be finished, at least, before the network will cancel it. Nudity and strong language does not make a good show.

Anyway, right now my favorite cable series are Weeds, The 4400, Monk, Kyle XY, and Dexter.

Oh I would like to say Weeds is an exception to my first statement.

I watch Battlestar Galactica, The 4400, Monk, Psych and Rescue Me. Almost all are coming back in the summer. Can't wait.

I'd have to go with Dexter. I heard it was hot and then I had to check it out for myself. That man is VERY slick! lol I love it!

But there is other shows i like alot. Like Greys Anatomy, Ugly Betty, and alot of Reality shows!
