I've only watched this show for the last two seasons, but I vowed never again to lay eyes upon it after last season's utter travesty. Talent competition? That's a joke. It is and always will be just a popularity contest, unworthy of the truly talented.

To whom are you referring to? If it is Blake somehow beating out Melinda for a final two spot, I'm right there with you. He's kind of a cheap, wanna-be Justin Timberlake with only a fourth of Justin's talents...

But you sort of have to expect that with a bunch of teenage girls texting in their votes...

Oh yes, that is EXACTLY what I was referring to. Melinda was sheer elegance and excellence in that competition, but it ultimately went to shyte with that decision. Even the judges were shocked.
