Hi campers. We're having the read-through of the script today. Why would I be nervous? YOU'RE nervous! Anyhoo, I just couldn't resist letting you know that the recurring roles have actually been cast for some time now. I'm shocked that any part of our casting process hasn't been leaked somehow. And though I'm a fan of secrets, I'll give you the last two pieces of this particular puzzle:

November (who will be recurring but does not appear in the pilot) will be played by the luminous Miracle Laurie.

Dr. Claire Saunders will be played by... yet another name I'm gonna have trouble remembering how to spell... Amy Acker.

All in all, pound for pound, soup to nuts, man vs beast, it's a pretty amazing ensemble. I'm not sure how I landed this troupe, but rest assured I'm gonna write bestest good word for talkacting to them yes! They're in good hands.

I can't believe this! This is the best news since hearing about Dollhouse in the first place!! I LOVE Amy, she's such a sweetheart, and an amazing actress. I can't wait to see what kind of character Dr. Saunders turns out to be!

About time Amy got a regular TV gig! The best possible gig, as it turns out...

I was actually imagining someone older or...something, for this part. But she's got the chops, obviously. Very, very cool.
 
This is awesome! Amy is brilliant, I just re-watched reason 5 of Alias.

I can't remember the description for her charcter, but I hope she's bad, Amy does evil cool!
 
Wow, I love Amy. She's a fabulous and very talented actress and it'll be great to see her on a Whedon show again. Can't wait to see what she brings to Claire Saunders.
 
Yay, I'm just getting more and more excited :cheer: And that's something I wouldn't have expected.
 
I literally looked at this topic title and said "Ah, phew."

Any worries I had about this tarnishing Whedon's flawless TV career are gone. Amy Acker is involved, therefore, this will pwn.

Nobody else had been announced, a bad cast ruins the entire thing, despite the lead's capabilities. Another solid supporting actress and Joss' statement on how excited he is about the cast means that I'm happy.
 
OH MY GOD. I'm hyperventilating right now, for real. I just told my sister about it (she's also a huge Jossverse fan), and we basically had a squeefest.

Before, I was just somewhat excited for Dollhouse. Now, I'm far too excited for my own good!
 
Oh yeah, this is sizing up to be a good thing. Well, better than the good thing it all ready was. I can't call it the best thing yet, for I need more cast announcements and stuff, but yeah. I'm excited, to say the least.
 
YEAH! This is so exciting. I love Amy she is just so adorable and I have not seen her in anything lately and I am just pumped to see this show now. WOO HOO!! :smile:
