Amy (calling someone a rat is rude)

Amy started out as a poor girl whose mother wanted her life to be hers, with a horrible blonde hair, and after the body swap part was over, she seemed like a nice girl. In season 3 she still seemed very nice, even her hair was more flattering. She was close to the Scoobies. Then she turned into a rat, which led us to season 6, where she's human again. But she was different. I mean, let alone the fact that her hair grew while she was a rat, she was witchier, and I'm not talking in the literal sense. She wasn't the nice girl. At some point she got Willow into trouble, she took her to a magic dealer. She pretended to be a good friend to Willow, but it was really off.

And I ask myself, how did she turn this way? It's not the same girl we last saw before the rat phase. Is becoming a rat making you a different person? The last question was rhetorical. But Amy: what's the deal? How come did she change so much?

I guess she just got too "addicted" to magic.

I think she changed so much because the world around her changed so much in the three years since she became a rat. A lot of the people she knew died when the school go blew up.

Plus I get the feeling she might have had some resentment for Willow for taking so long to find a way to change her back.

Yeah I'd be a bitca too if I were turned into a rat for 3 years. 😛 Plus, in S4 she even became human for a split second and then got it taken away. Also, living in the same room with Willow for 3 years, she got to know a lot more magic, especially dark stuff which I'm sure Willow secretly practiced with a lot in her room.

Yes, I agree with [MENTION=11797]ashleigh[/MENTION]. She was probably pretty resentful. And I guess she must have gotten into dark magic just before she was turned into a rat, and was hiding it from the Scoobies. It seems like she wouldn't have had enough time to get into it just after being turned back into a human.

Well she was abusing magic before she became a rat, so I wasn't too surprised. Also the stress of realizing that she missed about 3 years of her life, might have caused her to want to "go wild" or...something haha. I mean I think it's safe to say that she knew (or knew of) Rack before she became human again.

That's a really interesting thought. 🙂 I like it. Maybe it was kind of a Salem-from-Sabrina-the-Teenage-Witch-thing only without the talking? 🙂

I think Amy got deeper and deeper into magic. I think she was farther into it than she let on when she got her body back from her mom. I think she was putting on a show of being nice after that encounter with her mom, but she must've found Rack in high school. When she was human again, she took Willow to him, but she also thought Larry was still alive. And after learning all she'd missed, I'm sure she'd be kinda of a bitca, and be jonesing for some magic.
