I have said it before, I say it again: The Buffyverse is en fuego these days.

Angel's Amy Acker, who currently is sporting some nassssty scars on Joss Whedon's Dollhouse, has joined ABC's murder-mystery pilot Happy Town, playing the wife of Geoff Stults' top cop.

Does this seem strange when she's still supposed to be working on Dollhouse? Maybe she gets killed during the season? *Gets paranoid* Oh well, I'm glad she's working!

She could be working on two shows at once...although that would be difficult.
*join you in your paranoia* I'm glad that people see that she has a lot of talent and are giving her a job, though! 🙂

Maybe she's just good at multi-tasking jobs *hopes* but its good she's getting work!

I don't think it will be a problem for Dollhouse, because, if I'm not mistaken, they've already finished filming the whole first season. So she will be definitely be there. Dunno about (possible) second season though. But then again, this is only a pilot. They might not make it into a whole series. Or they might, but with different actors.

She might, if the producers of the two shows agree, be able to remain on the cast of both, espscially if her role on "Happy Time" is no more pivotal than the one on "Dollhouse." So far, at least, she's little more than an extra. That might expand as the season progresses, of course, but if it doesn't, Amy could join James Marsters in having recurring roles on several series simultaneously.

I was sort of hoping she would become a regular on Dollhouse with time, maybe in the 2nd season (and let's all be optimistic and hope we'll get one). But also, I don't think having 2 shows is too much. That's still doable, especially if Dollhouse has already copleted the entire season.

Dollhouse already had their wrap party (which Nathan Fillion crashed), and so they're done shooting S1 of Dollhouse. So, no conflicts.

If she's about to start shooting this pilot, she'll probably be almost done if they do a season by the time we get (if we do) a Dollhouse S2 and they start filming that.

It's kind of a moot point, but Dr. Saunders/Whiskey left the Dollhouse at the beginning of Season 2, so there is definitely no conflict between Amy Acker working on Dollhouse and Happy Town (especially since Dollhouse was recently cancelled -- kind of freaky coincidence?).

There is no need to be afraid. Amy is staying as a guest star for Dollhouse. She is supposed to be in three more eps by the end of season.
