Amy Acker Leaves Angel

Actress Amy Acker has filmed her final scenes for Angel. The actress has left the show after winning a major role in forthcoming Steven Spielberg film Catch Me If You Can. Acker will star alongside former Buffy & Angel guest star Julie Benz, who can currently be seen in sci-fi's mini series Taken.

I have no idea wether it is really true, but it wouldn't surprise me!
 
Don't think its true...the movie Catch Me if You Can is completed and will be out this December. So, I think she worked it out and did both. Good for her though! There is sooo much talent on BTVS/Angel, glad someone else besides fans are noticing.
 
It does seem a little unconvincing, but since it came from the BBC, I though I'd just let it slips through!
 
Holy crap. That's the third crappy thing I've heard this week. Fred is my favorite AtS character. I'm going to be so upset if she leaves. And if they kill her character I'm going to cry. I'm praying this is in no way true. Even I'd pick Joss over Steven.
 
Strange! I really hope she doesn't leave - she's great!

Although I'm also happy that she is getting some recognition!
 
I don't think its true. She only had a very tiny part in "Catch me if you can." So I don't think we have to worry about her leaving any time soon! 😀
 
This thing is sort of like confirmef false, so luckily Amy will stay with us ... YEAH! .... just wondering why BBC was informed wrong?
 
Oh mi god! I soooooo hope this is not true! Fred is one of my fav characters on angel. I would be completely gutted if she left.::crying::
 
I nearly died when I read that!! Fred is my favourite Angel character and I've already lost Tara on Buffy.

Thank the lord and lady that it appears to be false!
 
Guys that is not true. BBC is not a real reliable source, and I agree with Angel'sLuv, communications probably got screwed up.

Its February, we would have heard something by now. I'm going to take this news with a grain of salt. And to my memory, I don't remember seeing Julie Benz or Amy during that movie!! Can anyone re-confirm this?

Well Amy was in Catch me If You Can. She was one of like 8 flight attendants who Leo's character picked to be on a plane or something.

Julie Benz was in the tv movie 'Taken.' It's a Steven Spielberg movie. It aired on the Sci-Fi channel i think. I wanted to watch it but I went on vacay when they showed it here in the states. Hope they air it again soon.

i dont think is true b/c she has had so much fun doing the show why would she want to leave when its getting so good
